Just for curiousity.... I am a very curious person, what can i say, i wonder about things. The question that popped up in my head now was in which position you people prefere to go to sleep. I always lie on the side, blanket over me, one foot sticking out to taste the air and making me feel glad the rest is under the blanket. One leg is outstretched and the other is drawn so it looks like i'm running lying down. One hand is almost always placed in the fold of the knee of the updrawn leg. It is also that leg whose foot tastes air (and no, i'm not afraid that a monster shall creep up from under the bed and grab my foot). I move around while i'm sleeping so there is no saying how i will wake up but not in that position.

I start out on my right side, arm tucked between my two pillows and one leg bent/pulled up (right leg).
It's back and forth from side to side from then on through the night.

Have to be on my stomach, head facing to the right, and right leg is usually bent and right hand tucked under the pillow but after I've gotten to sleep I'll move around to other positions except for lying on my back. Just can't get comfortable sleeping that way.

On my side. Either one doesn’t matter.

I had to order an under-the-covers Bedfan for someone at Christmas. The company sent me two by mistake, and told me to just keep it. It sits in the box unopened. What the heck am I supposed to do with something as crazy as this?

I can start out on my left side, snuggled up to my husband, or flat on my back. But to fall asleep, I seem to have to be on my right side. I have to have a pillow tucked under my jaw, a pillow tucked under my shoulder, and a body pillow to wrap my arms and knees around. I'll often rub my feet together to fall asleep, lord knows why, and even though our mattress is flat on the floor, I can not have my feet out of the blankets. Something WILL reach out and touch me, I just know it....

I fall asleep most often on my right side. Right leg stretched out straight, left leg curled up and foot out from under the blankets. I have a lot of pain in that side still, even 4 years after my gall bladder surgery. When it is hurting, I will switch to left side but I always wake up on my right side anyway. It is a losing battle, I guess.

I flip and flop a lot. Cannot go to sleep on my back but I do get there from time to time, I know because I get the elbow in the ribs because I'm snoring. ;-D And I usually don't sleep on my stomach, unless I am having an especially hard time falling asleep, sometimes that is the only way I can go to sleep. In those instances, snuggled clear down under the blankets with my arms outstretched above my head.

I lay on my right side, two pillows between my knees, one arm up toward the head of the bed, one curled into my chest. The pillow under my head has to be all mushed into place properly to support my neck but not impede my breathing.

I used to roll around all night, but now more often than not I will wake up exactly the same way I fell asleep. Those are pretty rough days, because I'm more stiff and sore than I would normally be because of my fibro.

I wonder sometimes, if a future archaeologist finds my skeleton, will s/he be able to tell I spend so much time on my right? Is my rib cage flatter on that side, or maybe my shoulder or hip getting misshapen?
