I start out on my right side. That sort of starts lulling me to sleep, but to truly go out, I lay on my left side -- my sleepy side. My feet have to be out of the blanket. As a kid, they had to be covered because of the things under the bed. The fan has to be on and it has to be cold, even in winter.

I think everyone has a sleepy side. (or back or front) When my kids were little and they were fighting sleep, I would always go in there and tell them to turn over on their sleepy side, and they always knew what that meant. Everyone has a sleepy side.

I have two cats. Only one will sleep in the bed with me, usually between my legs or if I'm laying on my side then she lays her front half on the side of my stomache. The other cat sleeps on my spare bed in the front bedroom- she hawgs the whole bed to herself!

Me too. It's so strange how different people can be in this sense. Maybe it's a metabolism thing?

Just seen a story on the local(ish) news about how to help yourself fall asleep if your a toss turner, especially if it's stress and/anxiety related, said people that do this go under an average of twenty minutes sooner, and even get an average of a half hour extra sack time
Simple, just talk to yourself at bedtime
Hmmm, I dunno, 'cause that's pert near the only person I talk to all day anyway, and I seem to get particularly gabby with meself about when I get ready for bed, so ya'd think I'd snooze like ol' Rip Van Winky.
Ah, sure, I must hang on every word, as obviously I find myself much too interesti:sleeping:

Have to be lying on my side to fall asleep. (unless I am on the couch, then anything goes)
Usually I am on my left side... it's kinda on my tummy(ish)/side. Bottom leg is straight, top leg is bent with my foot hooked behind my other leg. (Yes... I just had to lie down to check that I had this right. ;;D )
Blankets are tucked in at the foot of the bed.

Any position, really, including sitting. If I'm on my back, I start to snore and wake myself up. Eventually. But generally turned away from Grandma, because I like to draw my knee up. I am not a spooner. I get too hot and just can't fall asleep that way.

I have vivid dreams and move around a lot at night. No telling what position I'm in by the time I wake up.

I don't sleep much. Wish I did. Maybe I slept it all away when I was younger? I used to be able to sleep for 12-14 hours at a time. Now I'm lucky to get 4 hours straight. Such is life. I can't sleep on my back...just can't. I usually fall asleep on my right side as curled up as I can get without suffocating. Must have a pillow between my legs or my lower back cries. I really like to sleep on my stomach, but the more time goes by, the less I can do this for long periods. (The back thing) Part of that may be that I am addicted to my waterbed. But my back hurts worse if I have to sleep somewhere else. I also need some type of cover. I can sleep with one foot out now. I couldn't until just a few years ago. Now I figure if the Boogyman wants to pull my leg, more power to him. :)
