My family lived in East Texas for several years. I visited a few times, didn't live there myself. They lived in Tyler...right down the road from you!
Small farming community/railroad town in Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada, Population 4,600. Live in Winnipeg, Manitoba now, but was raised in tiny town. Hope I'll retire there one day. Not totally cut off, I bought Charlie Parker and Sex Pistols albums there in the late 70's (although they had to be ordered in). Never felt out of touch there at all (due to the shared TV/Music/Movie experience I guess).
I live in Ted Kaczynski's old shed--got it dirt cheap at an FBI auction, set it up atop a desolate glacier far in the northern climes. Play poker with the sled dogs, make homemade hooch and smoked salmon. It's a good life.
Shawshank Prison. Sure, I'm from a small Maine town years ago but I'm too old to remember. This feels like home now. I hope I never get paroled......

My family are from the East End of London but I grew up on the coast in Suffolk, England. I've moved around a bit but currently reside in Leeds, England. Also lived a year in Auckland, New Zealand (which is still my favourite place in the world).

Ha ha - well in England that term used to be a playground insult (I think it implied you had issues with your reproductive systems) so the first time I was in Wellington and someone called me that I was quite insulted!

I just read that on Urban Dictionary! Ponsonby Hood...? I think I might've played them in soccer about a thousand years ago.
I did, but Flake deleted it. Not on any political or revolutionary grounds--it was just really bad writing. I'm currently working on a children's version, with pop-ups and scratch-n-sniff.
