I hate Taylor Swift, who buys her music? They always play her songs on the work radio so I can't change the station !!! She looks like a store dummy as well in every single photo ???

Okay, gonna do something a bit different-- going to list a song I HATE by a few of my favorite artists. These are artists that have come up in this thread (he said sadly) and I love 'em, obviously, but I'll admit they've all written a stinker or two.

Beatles/Paul McCartney:
The Long and Winding Road. Christ in a sidecar I hate this awful song.

Beatles/John Lennon:
Across the Universe. Bores me to tears.

U2:
Sunday Bloody Sunday. Elvis Presley and America. Bullet the Blue Sky. Vertigo.

Paul McCartney (solo):
Maybe I'm Amazed. I dunno. Not bad, but it's just not my groove. Paul has said this is the song he'd like to be remembered for and I don't get it.

Michael Jackson:
Bad. (It's really, really bad.)

Elvis Presley:
Moody Blue

Ok, some of my least favorite songs from my favorite artists

R.E.M. - Shiny Happy People (I think everyone hates this - how was it a big hit?)

The Rolling Stones - As Tears go By - Emotional Rescue

The Clash - Know Your Rights (a huge disappointment because this could have been a really great song - the clunky lyrics and phrasing sink this one)

Paul McCartney - Silly Love Songs (vomit inducing and I lived through when it was a number one song with weeks of heavy airplay :barf:)

Bob Dylan - The Disease of Conceit (yeah, it's every bit as bad as the title make you think it will be)

Led Zeppelin - Hot Dog

Van Halen - Jump (The synth is like nails on a blackboard)

Teenage girls buy her music. That's her target audience.

Ms. Swift is pretty much a pop-tart, not that far removed from Britney Spears. A bit more talented perhaps as she can actually play an instrument and write her own material (or so we are led to believe).

Hey, don't you people know that The Clash was the only band that mattered?!

This is a public service announcement, with guitars!!

;;D

Tom Petty (he's annoying sounding and annoying looking)...

UGH, you just made me throw up in my mouth a little.

Tom Petty is one of the most talented song-writers of the classic rock era. His resume speaks for itself. Plus he has a secret weapon. His name is Mike Campbell. One of the most under-rated guitar players in rock.

I knew I was going to regret coming back into this thread! I'm going to hide in the corner with my headphones and think nasty thoughts at you music heathens :listening_headphones:

Damn commie.
Heh.

Little research reveals Lennon's opinions and thoughts on most Beatles songs were inconsistent-- heck, downright untrustworthy. He'd say one thing in one video interview and something completely different in another one. I get people's opinions change but he would tell different stories regarding song authorship and whatnot, too. He either had a horrible memory or twisted the truth at times.
