ELIZABETH DEHNER: Earth is really unimportant. Before long, we'll be where it would have taken mankind millions of years of learning to reach.
KIRK: What will Mitchell learn in getting there? Will he know what to do with his power? Will he acquire the wisdom needed?
DEHNER: Please go back while you still can.
KIRK: Did you hear him joke about compassion? Above all else, a god needs compassion, Elizabeth.
DEHNER: What do you know about gods?
KIRK: Then let's talk about humans, about our frailties. As powerful as he gets, he'll have all that inside him.
DEHNER: Go back.
KIRK: You were a psychiatrist once. You know the ugly, savage things we all keep buried, that none of us dare expose. But he'll dare. Who's to stop him? He doesn't need to care. Be a psychiatrist for one minute longer. What do you see happening to him? What's your prognosis, Doctor?
DEHNER: He's coming.
KIRK: Then watch him. Hang on to being a human for one minute longer.
MITCHELL: I Am more than just disappointed in you, Elizabeth.

Where No Man Has Gone Before

The Alternative Factor

[Enterprise]
SAAVIK: That was close.
KIRK: They just don't want us going in there.
SPOCK: One minute to nebula perimeter.

[Reliant]
KHAN: Why are we slowing?
JOACHIM: We daren't follow them into the nebula, sir. Our shields will be useless.

[Enterprise]
SPOCK: They are reducing speed.
KIRK: Uhura, patch me in.
UHURA: Aye sir. You're on, Admiral.

[Reliant]
KIRK (on intercom): This is Admiral Kirk. We tried it once your way, Kate. Are you game for a rematch? Kate! I'm laughing at the 'superior intellect'.

Kirk: Uhuru, contact Star Fleet Command, tell them we need more Redshirts.
Tell me blunthead (blunt: dull, not sharp...and I am, joking before others think this is an invite to mob)...do you ever get serious?

btw, I would have put it here first but Star Trek is first and foremost a TV show with about five hundred TV episodes (TOS, TNG, VOY, DS9, ENT). Although we have some Trek movies they are a far cry from the TV show with over 90% of the best quotes and philosophy. That is why I did not first use the 'Other movies' area but, if you prefer Flake Noir (I presume that was you), I am okay with spreading out my ego to other areas...thx. Also, you are a very good mod...the best I have come across in such a forum...keep it up!

Hmmm, I'm thinking "Kate", as in Middleton, right Ayko?
I only know a Catherine (Cathy, for short) Middleton. Kate is short for Kathleen, Katheryn, Katrina, etc. Who would ever compare Kate Middleton to Khan from Star Trek??? What does she have to do with any of this???

The Ayko profile is not accessible and any attempts to login with that name is accompanied by a viral attack as if the person loggin in were SAMSUNG jr putting Apple and Facebook into retirement...which is soon to come.

That's okay, I was just referencing something from your Ayko days. (bit of a confirmation in my mind if anything)

I missed the second part of your message, you must have edited after I'd read it.

When the thread came in to Chattery Teeth, I really wasn't sure where to put it. I knew that Star Trek was a TV programme too, but then your last line "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" referenced a movie specifically, so I just wasn't sure. (Also I was a bit lost at first about what the thread was--I'm not a Star Trek fan, so it mostly went right over the top of my head.)

Moderator , should I have put this one in to (Other) TV? (Please just chuck it in there if you think it fits better.)

Sounds like Other TV might be a better fit so I'll move it over there.

I thought as much but, I also thought that was obvious. I will discuss the situation with the Ayko profile as soon as I get a chance. It is not so important right now as long as I only use this one. I will take it up with Ms. Mod and request she just leave the Ayko profile 'dormant' for now.

I was having a difficult time months ago and I was very misunderstood, to nobody's fault at that time. When I tried to return with the Ayko profile using the German Hesse state library computer in the capitol city of Wesbaden, which is also connected to the school system, the entire library network was shut down for a while and it took weeks to restore except for printers that are still out to the public. That was after some dude from Ireland nuked my PC with a loaded USB stick. I now have a new and better computer system and thought it best to come back as Mantor and show you all once again what a great guy I am:cool-new: especially now that I am out of the 'stressful water currents'.
