Yes, what I find enlightening about Ben Mears is that he, as a man who experiences his life through love and I.Q., does have a settling within himself beyond the second conclusion in front of him. He sees inside the outside of the world and does make gripping conclusions that are both fanged and superb. I love the inscrutable characters of 'Salem's Lot who are the focus of Ben Mears's ennui.
