...all worlds revolve about the Tower....in other words, read and be assimilated into the DT collective....
Just to add here for the OP, it is what is happening on the Tower's home world that have allowed these evil energies to escape and cause these things to happen in ours (and other than these). Read it!!! :)

I remember an animated midnight movie titled Heavy Metal. Do you know if that was related to the magazine?
By "midnight movie" I assume you mean it was adult themed somewhat? Yes the mag did put out a movie in the early 80's. South Park also did a parody based on it in the "cheesing" episode. Here is the movie poster:

That's it! :) Heavy Metal, The Wall, Rocky Horror, and I've forgotten what else were shown at midnight - not sure why, maybe because those of us who liked the movies were up at midnight?

I think this is a drive in movie thing maybe? Or just old school theater thing when they'd show a feature after the main flick. On weekends there'd then be a "grindhouse" or "adult themed" flick that would show at Midnight. At least that's how the small town theater and drive-in where I grew up ran.

I really miss drive-ins.

They were shown at a big screen theater. I miss drive-ins too :( Where do guys take their dates nowadays? We usually went to the Gemini drive-in theater in Dallas. It had three screens. There was also an old run down drive-in theater on Buckner that only showed... dang it, I can't think of his name. He dressed kinda like a cowboy and he rescued wild horses and girls from bikers.

OH. EM. GEE!!!!!!! I have been to the Gemini once back in the late 80's!! LOL small world!! The small town I lived in has the Corral Drive In and the Constantine Theater down town. In Tulsa, there is the Admiral twin. It burned down about 5 years ago after sitting closed for a few years and it was rebuilt and reopened after a public campaign. There is one over in Tampa here. I haven't been though.

Was that those Marjoe Gortner bikersplotation films? "When Ya Coming Home, Red Rider?" leaps to mind. Could be way off though...

The Gemini became a used car lot :(

I don't think so... there were 3 or 4 movies and the movie theme was One Tin Soldier - Do it in the name of justice, you can justify it in the end.

(I don't think I have those words right but the melody will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day :()

Yeah, I have that soundtrack in my music library. I still have a ton of original issues of it from when my dad subscribed to it. Of particular awesomeness in that mag was the Tex Arcana series. Great stuff. You can actually read them all here: index
