Hugs.

Looks like my work will be closing soon. Owners are too damn old to keep it going. They say they'll help me get another job doing what I do, great recommendations, all that stuff. It's kind of a good thing; I've been meaning to upgrade my employment status. I've a particular set of skills that are valuable around here. I should, and could (and have) make considerably MORE money at the bigger shops. I just don't wanna...ugh...too many people, too many rules, too many D-bags in charge who know NOTHING about orthopedic metal finishing...grrr....

Off the clock. Rant over. Went into psycho creative overload this weekend, did a series of pen-n-ink illustrations for the book I'm writing. Wild stuff, didn't know I still had it in me. Can't nobody see em yet, though.

So, that stuff. And less. The Wild Turkeys are back, strutting their mob rule on Squirrel turf. Things could get interesting...

Looking forward to seeing those pen n ink illustrations..... :)

Got an email from the place that I was supposed to move into. They withdrew my application. Good. They still got the $, but oh well. I will take the hit. I just could not move in there.

Someone at work gave me a new lead, I will call this place tomorrow. Also, someone's mother has a duplex.

Something will work out. Rent is due again, I will pay my half Oct, and hope to be out by the end of the month. Somewhere.

What really sucks, it that you have to pay like 50 bucks, every ****ty place you see, just to apply, non refundable. This is why I just turn around at some places.

Oh, and while I am bitchin, woke with a headache and sore throat.
Never get sick. This is what happens when I go into public. I saw someone sneeze/cough in the coffee that I ordered. Only took a sip, then remembered.

Never heard of the $50 fee to just look at a place. Seems like a rip off.
Hope you feel better soon not_nadine

We had a real creepy guy that was caught recently here in sweden. He pretended to let his apartment and when a woman showed interest in the apartment and they arranged a look on it (if a man called and wanted to visit he said it had already been let) he sexually harassed them. He never wanted to let his apartment, he just wanted a women in there so he cold do what he felt like. Hope the law nail him hard!! But sadly punishments in sweden are to mild IMHO.

School holidays here at the moment, week two without my car. (at least it's the holidays--in theory, less walking! :biggrin2: )
My littlest guy is having leg/walking health issues again. Had to take him for a blood test today... so not fun, poor little guy.
He's a toughie though and got over it quickly... they were great with him at the clinic and gave him a lollipop and bravery certificate afterwards.

Hope you all have a great week. :)

I'm so sorry - you've got much going on. Hang in there, peace in the struggle and all. Much love to you! Please keep us posted on your little guy.

Hugs.

Damn the day! Someone sneezed in your coffee? Breath some more Pope air - there might be some healing in there still. Hope you feel better soon. I hope you find a good place soon too. Do the sketchy looking places happen to be in a decent part of town still? My daughter's place scared me when I first saw it, but then I realized it's just very urban hipster rejuvenating part of Memphis. It's edgy, yet full of police presence, so, I don't worry so much anymore. Could be the meds though :0:

Yikes! I wouldn't have imagined punishments to be so mild in Sweden - I thought y'all were fierce Viking types- No? Does it work out OK?

They are mild compared to the US. You could get only 10 years for a murder and be out in 7. Not the real horrorstories but still. Too mild, i think. We are not so much vikings anymore. We dont go berzerk either. But many are dissatisfied with the length of penalties for crimes like murder and rape so its not that good even if noone wants to reinsitute the deathpenalty. The last death penalty and execution took place 1910 and it was not an option after 1921 when the law changed so a judge could not any more rule the death penalty.

It's 35-50 bucks if you put an application in, which you have to do for credit check/backround check every time, even if you have done it before for a different place. Unless they have a model apt, you really don't know what it looks like.

Thanks, feel better today.

I guess it supposedly pays for the background check. Maybe it's an example of the evil behavior of some capitalists, or maybe it's reasonable. I know it didn't used to be this way.
