We might have to set up a spot out back for an as-yet-to-b e-named armadillo. I've got one hanging around my property line, digging things up and doing general damage. Looks like he's taking up residence.

I have never seen a real live one of these - have you ever seen a real live polar bear?

I would LOVE to see a real armadillo.

I have seen a real live armadillo. Took a picture of it. It's a neat critter, but to see it plodding along isn't much different than seeing a turtle in the wild.

Despite having spent time in an Alaska tundra town, I have never seend a real live polar bear except in a zoo, which doesn't count.

Okay - then I have not seen one either (except at our really nice new Polar Bear exhibit in Winnipeg). They seem very happy there with water to swim in etc. plus it gets very cold here and they can go outdoors in winter (not like that poor polar bear I heard about in some tropical country who appears to be suffering from the heat and lack of water) :dejection::down::saddd:

Even if I went up to Churchill Manitoba you still have to go in a Polar Bear Tundra Buggy type thing to see them, as they will eat you if they get a chance.

I took a picture the other day, and Tall Guy said he saw it run up the driveway today. If I can get a video of little Armie, I'll post it.
You should sneed up behind him then try to grab him. Armadillos are pretty deaf and he will jump about 3 feet straight up!

In Texas they have 'dillo racing at county fairs where they put a bunch of kids in the ring to run behind them and goose 'em.:rolleyes:

I would not have expected that playful roll across the floor!

On a side note....I recall my older sister had this armadillo purse when I was like 4 or 5 years old (she's ten years older than me) complete with red jewel eyes that I thought was so cool.

I'm not touching that thing. I don't know where it's been. And they can carry some nasty yucky sicknesses.
