Good morning!

I survived a visit by the inlaws last night.

Today is early release for the kids. I have parent teacher conferences this afternoon, but they should be easy. Not anticipating any issues. (Very thankful my kids are good students!)

So we have a four day weekend here. Kids are ready for it. Boys will be hunting, so with any luck we will be putting meat up this weekend! It is a big job but so worth it, to have the meat in the freezer. Crossing my fingers for some elk along with the deer this year, it's my favorite. Yum.

You should talk to her - tell her you feel like she does not appreciate what you're doing for her dog (well, perhaps in a less blunt fashion). Her dog is so sweet looking - you're doing a great job and I'm sure that dog loves you for it!

I talked to her yesterday, it was MORE than blunt. Yes the dog and I get along great, everytime she sees me she is giving
me kisses and starts walking away with me instead of her owner. She prances along beside me and keeps looking up at me.
She really is a sweetie.

I just [slightly] burned some bacon in my cast iron frying pan - I was trying to season it - I'd gone off all pork products for months now (at least six or seven months, maybe longer) but I backslid a bit and ate a few slices that weren't too crispy and dark
