After a year and a half, our house is finally as done as it's going to get. I have a love/hate relationship with it. These past months have been a NIGHTMARE of dealing with contractors and sub contractors.

We're moving into a house that has no heat, no hot water, and no gas. But it has walls, lights, power, water and sewer. So, for better or worse, we're going home tomorrow. We'll be sleeping on borrowed beds and eating whatever I can whip up on a hot plate and microwave until they come hook up the stove, but we'll be home.

It's an adventure, starting over. But Tall Guy and I are in it together. We picked out curtains and put a household together piece by peice once, and we'll do it again.

I go over in a few minutes to meet the cable guy. At least we'll have the internet.

Yup. Going home. Just in time for Christmas.

Good morning!

All the stuff I said I was doing yesterday, I did not do. I wasted my entire day. Doing nothing. :a11: Did not wrap one present, did not get groceries. I just did not do a darn thing. Oh well, I guess once in a while that's ok. :encouragement:

So I will be busy today. Miss Sage and I will be going after groceries. Maybe brave a trip to Walmart to get some hair thingies for Alison's stocking. Tonight Ali has a band concert.

Have a great Thursday! Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
You took a mental health today :grinning: - every now and then we need to take a break :encouragement:

Found it.

I copied this from the internet, but your explanation is better!

"Moin moin means Guten Morgen (good morning), literally Schönen Morgen (beautiful morning), from Low German. It's similar in Dutch"

We have lots of people down in Steinbach, south of Winnipeg, who speak German

All I know if that I prefer the German version of cabbage rolls (more ground beef in them)
:biglove:

The Ground Beef is great....but the Cabbage...........

Happy for the Christmas return, but not happy you about the no heat, water and gas stuff! Doesn't anyone care about doing a good job anymore? I hope that gets resolved soon.
