I can always count on the GNT to brighten up my day. :D
....remember, I own a Wrangler....went in for an oil change last week and came out needing a transmission overhaul and a rear coil spring......

....Hey old buddy, ask her if she's taken care of her air changeout.....

She called me the other morning, I was already at work, to tell me the battery in her car was dead. I keep a jump cart charged up and ready to go in the corner of my laundry room. I decided to rib her a little and good-naturedly asked her if she knew how to jump a car battery.
"Yes, I can jump a car battery, even put gas in the vehicle unless I have a broken nail or my hair isn't done, wise-ass....YES my love, I grew up in the country just like you did, I got this."

That cracked me up. I get NO quarter from her whatsoever. Nicest woman in the world, but no qualms about matching my level of snarkiness at any given moment...lmao...one of her many good qualities..lol

LOL, I'll just borrow some of that "Apple Pie" from my future father-in-law, pretty sure you could power a stock car with it, or launch a rocket.;;D
OOOOHHHH!!!! You've given me my next idea for fun/curiosity!!!!....... If it works, I'll send pics.
We don't waste Apple Pie on such frivolousness, but I think we have some rot gut stored out in the shed. :biggrin-new:

I’ve been pretty lucky with the Commander so far (knock on wood). The Liberty was a whole different story, and decided to junk it last Fall.

I could have used AWD yesterday on my trip home dealing with all the country road snowdrifts. Stopped at McDonalds on the way home. After getting the order in the drive-thru the window on the van only went half way up and froze. So 5 miles with the window down and the heavy winds and snow blowing into the window and on my face. The wife decided to call off today and not chance her AWD Charger with all the crazies on the road. Almost asked her if I could use it today... then thought the better of it.

Just pour some of that backwoods stump water onto the battery, it'll start up from shock...lol
The battery on the Commander did have some corrosion on one terminal. My mechanic said to pour some Coke A Cola on it. He said once you see what it does to the battery terminal you won't want to ever drink it again. Tried it but still no go on getting the Jeep started. Charged the battery and it's holding a full charge but I get nothing... no revving, no clicking, no nothing.

...this sounds like an injury waiting to happen, but try it......take your battery cables off and briefly touch them together....it's worked on mine in the past when it acts up like that.....

Touch the cables together after taking them off (doesn't seem like anything will happen)? Or touch the battery terminals together and watch the fireworks?

Haha don't laugh - Andy took his Durango in and found that the air pressure was off in the tires (I took the Durango all the way to Toronto and back in October) - I told him it probably happened after we got the freezing temperatures :question_pig::yes_pig:

I’m digging the AWD in my 330i. Was able to get up the sloped driveway at SwiftMom’s in the snow with no problems. That driveway is a back breaker. Literally. I slipped and fell on ice there a ways back and have two compression fractures to show for it. Always had problems in that driveway no matter what car I had. I could get the Camaro up there in 1st with a running start but the BWW has no problems whatsoever. Yay German engineering :)
