Hi gang. Hope you're all having a good Tuesday!

((((Niro)))) more healing vibes!!

Been doing some chores that I always procrastinate on. Got the fridge cleaned out and gleaming. Taking a break while I try to decide whether to keep going in the kitchen...I have accumulated too many pots and pans over the years and need to reorganize and thin them out...or if I should move on to the bathroom scrubbing. (Not a chore I procrastinate on, but one that needs done today!)

Hubby is in the brace for 2 more weeks and is supposed to go to physical therapy. It will be like pulling teeth to get him to go. His hand does feel better, but that tendon is still very tight.

Better get back after it! Those muffins look delish! I will pop back in around lunch time and have one! Have a great day! Big hugs and positive vibes to all!

Thank you!

;-DI can't be the only one with this problem, right?
Hope your husband is on the mend. Mine is having back problems. I've finally convinced him to give physical therapy a try. He thinks just being mad about it will make it go away.

I don't have a metal breeding problem - we have a plastic cup problem. Mayhap we drink too much beer at the ballpark during the summer.

I was having low back issues. I was grumpy. Oh, I knew what was happening. Getting older, degeneration and dessication of the discs, particularly the fulcrum joint of L5-S1. Grrr, and such.

A friend bought me a massage session. Now, I'm rather touch-averse. It's a wonder that I ended up with kids. So I didn't cash it in for a while, but when I did. I grumpily told the therapist about the lumbar issues.

Half an hour later, I got up. The back didn't hurt. I twisted and bent. Felt just fine. Wow. She said that the problem can be the supporting muscles and ligaments.

So that's my story. It was cheaper than a chiropractor (and my previous experience with that was quite mixed) or physical therapy.

Good luck to your husband.

From the Secret Metal Breeding Hutch. It also produces wire hangers.

Now, this is a good thing. I lock myself out of the car constantly.

You too? I have more Red Sox and Paw Sox cups than we could ever use....LOL

Isn't it nice to know you're not alone? LOL

I need to find a youtube that shows me the right spot to rub - lol, I like the way that sounds. Seriously, if I could fix him I would. I do give an amazing massage - so he says. But I've been afraid of making his back worse, so I won't touch it. He's got a herniated disk L4/L5. He's had it for years, but recently it's worse. MRI says it the same as it's always been. Age just gets you, doesn't it? He won't go down the drug path, the doctor didn't recommend surgery, so PT it is. I'm going to see if I can help fix him up. He's so miserable, it's sad to watch.

Tight hamstrings. Have him stretch his hamstrings.

Okay, a herniated disc is a different matter. He needs to do low-back stretches. A friend of mine had the same problem, is deathly fearful of surgery there and for good reason. He just did careful stretches and movements with his back and ultimately returned to biking and playing golf and soccer.

Lying on back, keeping shoulders to the ground as much as possible, bend leg and bring knee over and across body. Stretch it that way. Repeat with other leg.

Crunch and hold knees up to chest.

Sprinter's stretches.

Don't strain the back. Don't push through pain. The idea is to stretch and loosen them, not hurt them.

Bummer dude! But I should mention - that's the minor league for us (Redbirds). So, it's a bit different. But still - $2 beer every Friday night when the game is at home. It's the best!

Not sure what the Paw Sox (Pawtucket Red Sox) brewskies are now, but the big team is outrageous. We just saw them against the Reds last week, but downed our beer before going in. :very_drunk:

Love the minor league games, btw.
