Hi All. Just popping in to wish everyone a great weekend! Jojo- glad your back is feeling better! I hate it when my back hurts- there's really nothing you can do except wait it out. Had to show you all this really bad book that I found in a very, very small town at a very small thrift store. It's just so awful that I had to have it! It's like that Shark-nado movie(s)- so badly acted and filmed that you just have to watch!

Hilarious, right????????? It even mentions (from what little I could see when I was flipping thru it, laughing) the University Of Washington!
Nights with Sasquatch, Days with Monostat.

What Emotion Drives You? | Quiz Social

You got: Trust
6.jpg

When you fall for someone, you fall deep. Relationships tend to take over your life, which is only a bad thing if you tend to start relationships with people who don't deserve your crazy love.

I had given up on these when one quiz said that NYC was my town to live in or identify with, and I would want to live in or identify with NYC like a hobbit would want to live in or identify with Mordor.

I like NYC, don't get me wrong. I look forward to the next trip. But this forest/mountain boy ain't takin' to that Big City.

Nonetheless, I took the quiz. Apparently, my motivating emotion is Joy. I would've guessed Serenity. But Joy's not so bad.

Too cool, Claire. My daughter had a Mustang for quite a while until it was impractical as a Family Car (particularly for a single mom), and she traded it off. But she still loves them. I don't know if you saw the pic in ... Selfies? Maybe? But she insisted on having her picture taken next to a classic 'Stang.

I knew it
You got: Empathy
You care deeply for others and always make an effort to include everyone and consider everyone's family. People often comment on what a caring individual you are. Making sure the people around you know they're loved is your primary concern.

I love steampunk. I wish I could don a costume and look like that everyday.

After we came back from Lucy last night, Grandma said she was really hungry. I put some chicken stock, beef stock, and water on high heat, cubed up some chicken, threw it in, followed by some cut-up vegetables including garlic, then teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, sriracha sauce, and some spices, and let that boil furiously, covered, for a while. Finally added pad thai noodles for the last three minutes.

I really didn't have a plan, other than to make something soupy and quick, but it turned out to be a crowd-pleaser (if two, rather than three, can be considered a crowd), accompanied by a tasty and robust red wine. I don't know if it was the best wine to accompany that meal, but it's all we had left, and we liked it.

What Classic Novel Describes Your Life?

Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird
dbd6a8ca-fc99-4ea6-96c9-5afd6cf646ed.jpg

Selfless and Morally Sound, your story unfolds within the heartbreakingly honest pages of Harper Lee's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Tride, true, and honest - yours is a life of helping others. Intolerance and bigotry infuriate you, and you have a very hard time understanding how anyone could think in such a manner. You are driven to do good by others, not only because it's right - but because that's simply who you are.

E. B. White's Charlotte's Web

Empathetic and Family Oriented, E. B. White's CHARLOTTE'S WEB does a lovely job of describing your homey life. Kind and understanding, your are the epitome of empathy, and have a true gift for confiding in others. You tend to be an optimist, or try to be anyway, but have had your fair share of grievances. You are a rare individual in your ability to recognize that no one would be able to appreciate the good times, without having first experienced the bad.

J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings

An underdog in every sense of the word, Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS does a masterful job of playing out your struggles. Though you may not be the most intimidating of individuals, you are not weak - far from it. People are constantly trying to put you down in life, and you always manage to prove them wrong; Sometime even finding yourself on top. Life has taken you some very strange places, and you've developed a taste for the fantastic in the process. You're determined, driven, and have a penchant for the surreal!

Gosh, I'm not sure this agrees with my astrology.
