That's the official word here, but just like public school, if you're sick and just can't make it, there's nothing you can do. We follow the school calendar so we're off on holidays and such. They are supposed to go to Mass every week, but I think that's just the rule for being Catholic. We started PRE here yesterday. I teach RCIC - First Rec, First Communion and Confirmation all in the same year.

Hope you're feeling better!

Here, RCIC is preparation for First Communion for kids who didn't make it in second grade. Preparation for First Rec./Communion is in 1st and 2nd grade CCD, and preparation for Confirmation is 8th & 9th grades. It can vary a lot, though--I have a friend in Ireland whose kids made their Confirmation in 4th or 5th grade. As i understand it, that's up to the Bishop (and tradition for that area, I imagine). How did yours go?

Morning, everyone.

We had a nice day in the mountains yesterday. The hike was beautiful and hubby is excited about the lay of the land, for hunting. After the hike we explored a little, went into a winter habitat, where elk and deer migrate to and graze. It was right at the foothills of the mountain and the contrast between the grass and the mountains was gorgeous. He and Evan walked down to a pond to do a little fishing and I stayed close to the pickup with Ty and Ali. They had fun running around looking at rocks. :)

I talked to my mom for a quick minute this morning, and my grandma has something going on with an eye, so the visit is probably not going to happen. I am so sad over this. Was so looking forward to it, too much stress and anxiety this last month, I am making myself sick with all of it. Now I can add my grandma to my list of things to worry over. I will talk with my mom when she gets off work and find out more.

*deep breath* I think I need to allow myself a good cry. Sorry to whine.

Hope everyone has a good day. Big hugs and positive vibes to all!
Don't be sorry. We all have 'days'--whine away :)

A quick check in Tet Mates. I did some work for the local fair, twisted my knee due to a bonehead team member not working with me in moving the big pieces. Never again, I will stick to just riding the rides. :p I will post some pictures here in a bit.
I help out my lady at her job, a head start cook, on Mondays and Fridays. I may have a part time cook job coming up. Hope knee and back don't slow me or get me turned down. I may be beat up, just prop me in a spot or give me a stool to sit on so I can work. *laughs*
My lady and I have three years together as of this Wednesday, again another busy week. Hobbling or not, work to get done.
Thank you everybody. We hope for big big too, but most of all I look forward to the joy in people's faces come this weekend. This will be the biggest table sale I have done. Two and half days. Plus two weeks painting for it, think next Monday be a break day.
((((In need or not))))
