No I don't think so. What I was talking about is if someone then burglarized your house and stole it, your gun would end up on the black market. Not into blaming victims, but I would like to see near universal use of gun safes to make that more difficult.

The bipod is detachable but I don't carry it as a shoulder weapon so I just leave the bipod attached. It's had a lot of rounds put thru it but it still will get the job done at long range.

Can't go wrong with that model sir. I've got Mossberg Persuader 500 that holds 7+1 2 3/4". I have a level 3 recoil pad on the stock but it's still not a shotgun I want to shoot any more than a few times in a row, you'll feel it the next day in your shoulder...lol

A pistol grip will eliminate that sore shoulder!

thanks..that is the sum of my knowledge after 27+ on the street..ha,the first guy I ever rode with,told me a good beat cop is never cold,wet,tired or hungry..guess I wasn't good,cause I got soaked,frozen,exhausted,but never hungry lol..but walking the beat was fun,back in the day..I really liked the interaction with the public,you just don't get it so much in the cars..

My gunsmith father-in-law has a bad ass reloading set up at his shop in Missouri. I don't get up there as much as I'd like to, but he always has a few boxes of rounds specially made for me. Sometimes he'll let me buy them from him, but other times, he gives me a few boxes for my birthday, Christmas, etc. The rounds he reloads are all very, very similar to each other which gives me a good base for doping my rifle for different ranges. He loads Winchester 100gr boat tail hollow points with 41.00 grains of powder. The round comes out at around 2,600fps. At 100 yards, I can keep a pattern of five rounds at about 5-6mm. It's a bit of light load but at 500 yards or closer, it will drive nails. For longer range shooting, not that I'm capable of doing it very well anymore, I have quite a few boxes of Winchester 150gr boat tailed hollow points that my father-in-law loaded with 47.00 grains of powder. I haven't used any of those in a long time, but there loaded too well to get rid of. I'm hoping to pass the rifle onto my son someday, it's the nicest rifle I've ever owned.

Sounds like some good loads. Did you father-in-law set up the leade/headspacing/overall length to that particular rifle? Just curious as I've recently been introduced to that aspect of reloading.

No sir, he has several different weights and grains he has tried over the years for different calibers, .308, .300 Win Mag, 7mm, etc. He's been in the gunsmith business for almost 50 years now and it just about the most knowledgeable person I've ever met on gunsmithing and reloading. I don't know much about the reloading, but his reloaded rounds are consistently accurate. I'm hoping eventually to maybe have a .300 win mag built but I think I'm going to save up for the scope before having the rifle built. Last time I had the rifle for about a year and a half while I saved up for the optics...lol

Can't go wrong with a 1911. It just feels right.

That 10mm is one hell of thumper with the right loads. Most 10mm ammo that I've seen isn't much hotter than .40 S&W. If you get some stout loads inthe G20, you'd better hang on! My friend and I were chronographing some of his 10mm reloads and we were seeing an average of 1,300 fps with a 165 grain bullet. Pretty "snappy".

I can't tell is that the DE .50 or .44? I got to fire a .50 DE in Las Vegas several years back. Fun to shoot. Impractical as hell, but I enjoyed every round I fired from it. The rounds were 325gr....basically shooting an anti aircraft round every time you pull the trigger...lol

I'm not sure externally the Desert Eagle .50, .44, or.357 look any different. Could be wrong though.

I haven't pulled a real trigger since the '70s. You guys are making me miss the days on the range with that M-16A1 and see if I could ding the black from 300 yards again. (I did well at 500, but it wasn't as much fun.)
