Yes, The Strain is coming back to television this summer. I enjoyed that series very much.

I just started watching season 1 a few days ago--about half way through now. Really enjoy the show! I read the first book years ago, but never got around to the second and third books in the series, though I have them somewhere around here. Has anyone read them all?

I saw a preview for The strain it looks awesome!! I am need of good vampire fix. I do not get HBO for Penny Dreadful.
So far, I've watched 10 of the first 13 episodes. Ep. 9 has been the weakest (stupid, tempo-killing sex was stupid), but it was still good. Getting excited for the next season!

I binged watched season one on Hulu a couple weeks ago. Not bad. Nothing real original, but it maintained a tense atmosphere and kept me interested. I've read the books and I'm interested to see if the series stays faithful to the books. Especially how the book series ended. The only problem is if the series goes beyond three or four seasons it's either going be really off script or have lots and lots of filler.
