The further into this season we get, the more intrigued I become.
This was a very nice ep! I was pretty scornful about what happened in Terminus, and how quickly things went bad & what's his name was killed (can't even remember what he was called), but now I have a suspicion that Gimple is going to bring it back around & we'll see more payoff there. Already, he's started drawing threads from the past (talking about Ed, Lori, Bob, and having the nod to Dale). And the mind games between Rick and Deanna could be epic--both have been up front about what they're capable of, but there are games within games going on here (her videotapes, him taking the job so he's in position to take over--shades of every bad guy so far--her pointing out how different they all are to start driving wedges between the group, his scorn for what she's managed so far). And crafty, crafty Carol... I really think this back half of season 5 is the best stuff they've done since early in season 2.

I was worried about...
how big a deal they made of Daryl not having a place/job. I feel like they might try to "evict" him. Though, the ones that are in charge of going on 'runs' could sure use him and... they have to eat! It was just kind of in your face how he didn't seem to fit though... and yar, I wanted him to have a shower. (Mmmm)
(Oh! skimom2 I thought Rick looked pretty hot last night... yeah, I know, doesn't sound like me at all. :D )

HAHA! You have to watch him in other shows--he cleans up REAL nice :m_yesss:.
That must be how they're going to hang on to Daryl for a while--he'll have angst about fitting in. Think about it: he's invaluable in the outside world, but what does he have to offer 'polite society' when he's never existed in one? I feel sad for how he must be feeling (if he was real. Which, of course, I know he's not. Ahem. :a11: I am the perfect reader/watcher, I swear--I get all wrapped up in the characters/stories HAHA!). I think I can see what's going to happen with him, but I'll keep it to myself.

The woods are lovely dark and deep
Daryl was so right that Carol did not look right dressed in a skirt with a cardigan. It was nice to see Rick's face again.
Does anyone know what Rick was looking for outside of the gates and was so disappointed not to find? He and Carl fighting off the walkers was such a contrast to living inside the walls, eh? Seemed more like normal life that life inside the walls. What the heck is Enid's deal? Oh, Carol, please, please take a hose to Daryl. BOYOBOYOBOY PLEASE. What's the deal with the hair stylist's husband?
Well watched last version on our DVR last night and

He was looking for his gun that he stuck in a blender when they were going to the new place

Everytime I think TWD is too slow, they come up with an amazing episode lol

I kept expecting Carol to break into song...
It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?

She's dressed like Mister Rogers and Alexandria seems a bit like a Mister Rogers neighborhood. She's pretty smart to adopt chameleon mode.

Yay! Glenn finally got a good scene! I like Glenn :)

Nobody is going to tame Daryl lol. He's become more feral than the others and I think his instincts will save the group later on.

We need more scenes of Rick answering the door. Rick took my breath away :) I may have switched allegiances, I forgot all about Daryl lol

I can't imagine the townsfolk being ok with the newcomers being put into positions of power. Is Deanna trying to stir up trouble?

Of course they’ll kick Daryl out. Show would get pretty boring if they didn’t. And it gives the core group reason to leave and set the mood for the next season. But who from group stays and who from Alexandria joins them? Anyone betting Rick continues to get clipped?

Daryl:
What does he have to offer? DINNER!
Seriously. Canned goods only go so far. Hunting and gathering must be part of any "sustained" community. He can be in charge of bringing meat to the table, and teaching today's youth how to do the same. Someone with his survivalist skills is an undeniable asset. Hard to believe they're having a hard time thinking of a "job" for him.

Am I the only one that thought
"Okay, Katniss" When that girl scaled the wall and went out?

I think that girl is providing intel to perhaps the Wolves or someone outside the wall.

Wolves? I must have missed something... unless this is something from the comics? We have a thread now just for Walking Dead comic conversations, in case people don't want to know about the comic content.
