I thought it was good, not great. I think I liked the two-minute prologue than the whole episode better, LOL. I think
Deanna went out with a bang, but I don't like how they ended the episode. I know how that scene goes in the comics so I wish they would have ended that scene completely, instead of us waiting until February to find out what happens.
EXACTLY. I think that, as filmed, it
followed the comic storyline and ended with
Carl getting shot by Ron, and it was intended to end there and leave a cliffhanger as to whether he lives or dies.
That seemed to be where the episode was headed, so when it stopped where it did it was flat, IMHO. Just as every story has an arc, so should every chapter (or episode, in this case), and when a chap (ep) is truncated early, you can tell--the arc doesn't complete.

Just my two cents. I love Walking Dead good or bad. However, rating the Midseason Finale I would give it a 2 stars out of 5 stars. Just fell flat, due to a lot of build up and not a whole lot of play off. Just a fun factoid-Tiny Tim was playing Tip-Toe through the Tulips. The song that Sam was listening on the record player. Tiny Tim became an overnight sensation when he appeared on the Johnny Carson show. He was certainly not tiny LOL!!

That was not Tiny Tim's version. It was performed by Nick Lucas.

Yes! I agree with everything that you said--to me it felt so anti-climatic. All it did was left me wanting more, but I didn't feel satisfied.

The woods are lovely dark and deep
The last episode left me anxious for February and the preview reminded me that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was coming to my living room!

I'd thought I was in the wrong thread for a minute there when I saw his photo. I've been watching him in The Good Wife but didn't know his name and hadn't watched the other shows he's been on.

I'd love to know how they've handled Christmas since the ZA. Like, is Judith going to grow up without that joy? Carl was still a pretty little boy, too. Yes, I know this is made up (lol), but this is where thinking (and avoiding moving any more furniture to fit a #(%^@! Christmas tree in my teenytiny house) gets me.
