LOVED last night's episode. Carl has grown and matured. It was extraordinarily unselfish that he
led walker Deanna to her son, Spencer, instead of killing her. That was Spencer's job to do. His closure.
And it's
about time Rick and Michonne hooked up. Finally! I'm glad they reached that place where they don't have to focus on pure survival. I hope they give Judith a sister or brother. The new world is going to need babies to repopulate it.
Over all, I'm delighted with how this half of the season is going.

The truck race was a RIOT. Though, to be honest,
I understand that Rick and Daryl were out and about, having a bit of fun, Butch and Sundance, but I'm still surprised they didn't just take the food and run once they got the truck back. Jesus wasn't worth chasing around a field.
I'm not sure what to make of
Jesus. He could have killed Daryl, Rick and Michonne, but didn't. He's not a cold-blooded killer. But there's more to him than meets the eye. He's well-groomed. ...well, he's clean, at least. There's someplace he calls home. Is he one of Neegan's men? Some other camp?
We'll have to see.

I think he's going to be a good guy but I could be totally wrong about that. So at least for now, Jesus is just alright with me. ;-D

Disappointed in the love connection or the Jesus guy popping into their bedroom? LOL. btw...how did he get out of the jail? Furthermore, how did he get on top of the moving van when he was tied?
Love connection. It was a good, positive male/female friendship, and you don't often see that on TV. If you haven't read the comics, you're in for a treat--Jesus is a many talented character :) I'd imagine Daryl is going to be some pissed when he comes to--lol. That's not a spoiler, BTW, just a guess. His entrance to the story is different here than in the comics. I'm guessing that he would have had to knock Daryl out to get out of his 'cell'.

Ha ha...yes, you're right. I don't read the comics but I watch Talking Dead and the host refers to them frequently and even has Kirkman as a guest. I'm sure you've seen it.
For a fleeting moment I even wondered if the writers would dare bring in the supernatural. I mean, of course zombies are supernatural, or preternatural, but the story has mostly played out realisticallyin the framework of this universe. I just wondered if the Jesus guy was a vampire or something. LOL. See, I told you. But it was only a fleeting thought.

Talking Dead is one of the few shows I miss from when we had cable. I like the guests and the chatter about a show (and a comic) that I like so much :)

About time, too, some sex was put into the show’s mix. Think about it... in a real zombie apocalypse what would survivors actually be doing in the downtime between fighting zombies and scrounging for food other than boozing it up, taking hard drugs, and doing the nasty? :)

I think the writers have to be very careful with the sex angle. We don't want it to turn into the TV show Friends where they've all slept with each other in every combination. ;-D I think too many intimate relationships would mess up the show. That being said, It's time for Carl to see some action. Yeah, he's young but he has killed so that makes him old enough. ;-D

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! He's tied up hands and feet by the side of the road, then he's on top of their van! AW COME ON...WTH...so disappointed. I don't see the emotional tie between Rick and Marchonne; friends with benefits???????????

Rick told Jesus he tied him loosely so that he could get away before the walkers got him. Rick just wasn't expecting him to get loose so quick. That didn't bother me because there are people who are really good at getting out of restraints. Many make a living doing it in front of an audience. I think what they are trying to tell us is that Jesus is a very resourceful guy. That's why I think he's going to be an ally to the group. I could be wrong about the ally part though.

I'd forgotten what Rick said. I wished they had addressed this on TD.

I think that this episode should have been magic episode. Baby Judith start with the cups disappearing and then Jesus getting out of knots and jumping on top of the van. Well, rick had his own disappearing act with Michonne :)

DiO'Bolic: I creased up at that Benny Hill theme vid! Thanks for that.

I was wondering why the hell didn't Rick and Daryl - hardened survivors reduced to playing Tweedle-Dum and Tweddle-Dee here - just drive that truck back the way they came, drop it off in Alexandria, then head back out on another route to the car? Or, as my usually none-too-switched-on mother said in a text, why didn't one drive the car and the other take the truck?
Oh, because we have the Deus ex machina clanking away again so they can shoehorn Jesus in (Was that bit on Talking Dead intentional? "Do you trust Jesus?" :D) and kill some time by having Daryl and Rick running along, tracking the truck (on what seemed to be a...shall we say fairly warm?...day).
I also wondered why people called him Jesus, since old Joshua ben Joseph/Mary would have looked nothing at all like that, being a Middle Eastern type and all that (unless he really was some northern European Roman auxiliary's bastard son, if he existed at all ;)). I didn't wonder for long, though, because I went "Jesus, how did he do that?" when he somehow untied himself and got onto the roof of the truck in the time it took Rick to hop in and get rolling. Maybe other unseen characters saw his mad miracle level skills and that's how he got the name rather than it being down to 'white Jesus' appearance?
He had Ricky-boy on toast, too, so I'm thinking he might be ex-Special Forces or something. He's not the average bear, that's for certain. (Although he did seem to mysteriously forget how to fight during the go-around in the paddock. As for getting knocked out by that van door...do me a favour! And there was no way he was unconscious on the way in to Alexandria. He was listening to every word and probably mapping the route in his head.)

A few new predictions:
Carol is bound to get a comeuppance at the end of the season for job she did on Sam's head. That surely won't go unanswered. I think she'll probably go out in a sort-of dramatic scene with her and Morgan surrounded by zombies. Whether she kills him before being eaten or they go down fighting for each other, it's probably right because the characters have possibly reached the end of the road.
Based on 'More Than A Feeling' playing at the start, especially the line 'I closed my eyes and she slipped away', and the Rick/Michonne hook-up at the end, it's not looking good for her either.
I know Glen has a bad encounter in the comic books, but I really can't see them risking going back to that particular well in about 7 eps time. It could be how Morgan goes out, but it could also be Daryl whose number is up.

All in all it wasn't the worst ep I've ever seen, but it did seem like about 25-30 mins of material stretched out to fill the 40-45.
Oh, and this will sound cruel, but I thought Deanna looked better as a Walker than she did for most of her eps earlier in the season. No Walker Jessie, though, so presumably she reanimated and had a stumble into the lake. Even though we saw with the Daryl-in-the-woods scenes that fire doesn't necessarily kill them.
