I wonder if it will affect viewership, due to the big disappointing ending?

I wonder ifWe were just talking about that! I've never seen him so skinny!
I think you're supposed to see a difference between him and the Governor, the Wolf leader guy, even Rick. Negan isn't a shouter or a braggart, and he does not lose control. He doesn't want them all dead--that would have been easy; he wants what they can get for him or give to him. But he needed to make his point that he was serious. That's why I'm sure he didn't kill Maggie, and likely not either of the other women. He wants to show his strength, so he'll take down someone strong: I'd choose Abraham in his situation, as he looked the strongest, but Glenn, Daryl or Aaron would do. Daryl is hurt already, so I think that takes him out of the running. So: Glenn, Aaron, or Abraham.
No doubt core viewers will continue to watch. The producers need a new angle to draw more viewers. They could always try a "gods from the machine" technique, say, aliens come to earthI wonder if it will affect viewership, due to the big disappointing ending?
I didn't think it was disappointing, actually. It was neverevereverever going to show the actual murder anyway. WAY too gory for basic cable. The most it would be is blood splashing and then seeing the body. We'll see that, eventually. This episode was about breaking down Rick (and the rest of our crew, to a lesser extent), not about a single gory death. It is a catalyst for change. The more I think about it, the more I like Gimple's plotting. There are issues with execution, at time, but he definitely has a master plan that he is following. I look forward to next season.I wonder if it will affect viewership, due to the big disappointing ending?
Once again, I agree.I didn't think it was disappointing, actually. It was neverevereverever going to show the actual murder anyway. WAY too gory for basic cable. Oh SNAP!!
There seems to be a lot of hate in internet land for the final episode. I didn't think it was stellar but I was ok with it. The Carol - Morgan section didn't seem like it belonged.
I noticed an odd coincidence among my fb friends. Those who hated the ending of DT also hated this final episode. Those who immediately loved the ending of DT are not upset about this final episode.
I'm not sure this holds true among people here, as nobody actually seems to be overly upset about the show.
Interesting. I loved the ending of DT and liked TWD finale.
The one thing that I didn't like about TWD finale was the excessive commercials. Didn't it seem like there was a commercial break every 3 minutes?
As they haven't filmed the murder yet (JDM was swinging at a mat on the ground--TSDF had pictures), it's safe to say that they left their options open. At the time of filming, they might not have even decided who would get the bat yet. "In the comic" doesn't have to be what they do in the show--they've changed a lot of things. I personally think it will be Glenn, but there are two other strong options: Abraham and Aaron. And we all could be wrong--lol.Oh SNAP!!
Somebody slowed down the audio and tried to identify who was saying what during the final beating scene. They think they've identified the victim by the audio.
I know you have to push play for it to work, but I'll spoiler it anyway.
It's interesting, but not definitive. They're saying it's Glenn, because in the comic, Glenn sputters out Maggie's name after the first hit, and they're saying that's what's happening here.
People are going to such extreme measures to try and figure it out... and it's still the first week of APRIL. It's going to be a long trip until October.
They might have broken up the action differently, but the show was only 30 seconds shorter than any other 90 minute TWDInteresting. I loved the ending of DT and liked TWD finale.

They did say, though, that all of the actors were on set interacting with him during the filming of that scene, though. So some telling audio could have been caught... or purposely recorded. They're just clever that way. They don't just leave breadcrumbs. They drop whole loaves that don't become obvious until after the fact.As they haven't filmed the murder yet (JDM was swinging at a mat on the ground--TSDF had pictures), it's safe to say that they left their options open. Yup. Gimple most definitely has a long term plan I think he's quite the show runner, despite a few stumbles. They did say, though, that all of the actors were on set interacting with him during the filming of that scene, though.
