Yeah, and
why didn't Negan's group shoot out the tires of the RV? Then later it was apparent, after Negan's reveal from the RV, he wanted it for himself. Their property is his property. Initially this bugged me. Leaving Alexandria so vulnerable, like you said. The contradiction of Carol not wanting to kill and ironically doing nothing but that. At least her conversation with Morgan may be shaking some sense into him. They both are being stubborn.
Lots of nods this season to the group's time in Terminus, too.
the letter 'A' that shows up in the weirdest places for the last two seasons; the Saviors taking our group's stuff and using it in an obvious way; 'herding' our group where they're meant to go, right down to shooting at their feet. I'm wondering if we're meant to derive from all that that our people never really got out of cattle car 'A'--they're still cattle for a different kind of meal, meant for a bigger, badder predator.
Just a thought :)

Has JDM lost a lot of weight, he seemed so slender?
This overbearing nasty domination crap is old already! Carol to the rescue again?????
We were just talking about that! I've never seen him so skinny!
I think you're supposed to see a difference between him and the Governor, the Wolf leader guy, even Rick. Negan isn't a shouter or a braggart, and he does not lose control. He doesn't want them all dead--that would have been easy; he wants what they can get for him or give to him. But he needed to make his point that he was serious. That's why I'm sure he didn't kill Maggie, and likely not either of the other women. He wants to show his strength, so he'll take down someone strong: I'd choose Abraham in his situation, as he looked the strongest, but Glenn, Daryl or Aaron would do. Daryl is hurt already, so I think that takes him out of the running. So: Glenn, Aaron, or Abraham.

He lost 40 lbs to play a part in Texas Rising, a miniseries that was on last year. He is still thin, but looks so much better than he did in that series! Awful, scary thin.

I'd forgotten that series, he played a fascinating character suffering from consumption. He did a wonderful job!

I'm wondering how season 7 is going to play out. I'm guessing that Rick and the gang are going to be under the thumb of Negan for a long time and while they are under his thumb, they are going to be plotting to bring down the empire. I'm thinking that maybe they will be teaming up with Jesus and his gang (or do we call them disciples? ;-D). I think we are in need of a villain that stays around for a while (like the governor did) so I expect Negan to be around for a long time. Or - maybe Rick and the gang will just move West. They haven't been on the move for a while. Also, are the zombies coming back? They were mostly absent from the back half of season 6 after the big fire.

My favorite episodes of season 6 were
6-9 The walker invasion of Alexandria
6-12 The almost all ladies episode

It was a good season. Darker and good plot twists. In my mind, it was the most gut-wrenching season yet.

I think the first half kind of got wrecked with the Glenn fiasco but the second half was very dark and interesting. The show has always had these little patches where it loses focus for a couple of episodes but always seems to bounce back.

There seems to be a lot of hate in internet land for the final episode. I didn't think it was stellar but I was ok with it. The Carol - Morgan section didn't seem like it belonged.

I don't think so. First,
they just gave him a purpose: to make bullets. Second, it wouldn't be a huge loss, one that would "change the direction of their lives." Third, if they kill off Abraham, it gets him an Rosita together, out of a shared sense of loss. Another WEIRD relationship, plus the hit Rosita took from Abraham is sort of cushioned.
Just my thoughts :)

Kind of an awkward way to introduce
the Kingdom, but it worked okay. They're sort of a yin and yang of the show, two sides of the same coin, because they both care so much but handle that in different ways. I wouldn't be surprised if the show puts them together in a close relationship (romantic or otherwise).

I've not heard of that show. Did you watch it, and if you did, was it good? I like him a lot.
I did watch it. I thought it was too long, I think it was an 10 hour series and they could have probably cut it to 5 or 6 and told a better story.

For me, it was just ok. It does have some really great actors in it, but it just felt too big, too long, too rambling. It probably does not make much sense to say I think they could have cut the history of Texas down by a few hours. ;-D But I think it would have been much more focused, if it had been shorter.

Maybe they were going for a Lonesome Dove vibe? That book is in my top 5 books I've ever read, and the movie wasn't too shabby, either, even though it was hella long. Made me like Robert Duvall, and I'd hated him ever since The Great Santini, years before--lol.

Yes, that was exactly what I thought. I love Lonesome Dove, both the book and the movie. The formula was the same, jumping from story to story, to introduce the various characters, but it didn't work in this one. At least for me.

It was a very interesting series on the making of Texas taking place after the Alamo. JDM played a dying scout for Sam Houston. He did a great job IMHO!
