She hasn't had a true 'movement' for almost two months now. Had the colonoscopy and they found 5 or 6 polyps (non-cancerous) which they removed. That's all I know for now. I talked with her on Friday. She just sounds really tired.
I'm so glad they were clear. But, something is going on. I hope they can help her out and get her feeling perky again.

Thank you. She just talks like she is giving up on life now. It's scary for all of us to hear her like this. But it's been building for a few years. We can only do so much to try to get her spirits up.

Is she seeing a medical professional about depression? Even if she is, they may need to do some adjusting on any medications. Sending positive vibes to you and your sister (((KRF))).

My sister kept her Christmas decorations up for two years!!!!

A couple years ago, during the summer, I was in one of the small towns around Lake Okeechobee and had to stop for lunch. I went into a small restaurant and noticed there were Christmas decorations all over the interior of the restaurant. I asked the waitress about it and she said that they just had not got around to taking them down yet. ;-D

I would normally have at least something to hit you back with.... nothing. Nada. Zip.
I'm just brain-dead from staying up too late watching the Olympics. :biggrin2:
What did you think of the ice dancing (if you saw it?) I was very happy when Virtue and Moir won the gold, since this might be their last Olympics!

They have been skating together over 20 years!

I have seen a little bit of the ice dancing but it seems to be on mostly when I'm not able to watch. (I used to love watching Torvill and Dean with my Mum, they were fantastic.)

We've mentioned to her that she needs to go see a professional but she says there's nothing wrong with her mentally. She just doesn't want to admit it. Thanks for your well wishes, Marsha!

As close as we all were, yes. But, she really changed after her dog died, which was a few years before our Mom passed away.
Would she consider adopting an elder dog as a forever companion? Not a replacement, but with the thoughts of giving another dog quality time in it's golden years. Maybe-- to think of it as honoring her beloved dog??

She's talked about getting another dog but there's no way she could handle one now. She's stubborn, just like the rest of us in our family. She needs to take care of herself before she can help another animal. Her husband must be at the end of his rope by now.

I will hold her in prayers and positive thoughts. Is she strong enough to go out and about-- maybe spend an hour at a dogie day care? Some contact with a dog. Something to give her a will to go on-- that she is important to others in this scheme called life.
