I started it this past Sunday or Monday and I'm 200 pages away from finishing. I never spend 2 or 3 hour blocks of time reading. I usually take my time. This holiday weekend gives me a chance to finish up and hopefully move on to Black House next week!
    Happy 4th of July everyone!

The Talisman is one of my top 10 SK books. I just adored it.

It's my favorite. (I know; big shocker.)
Jonesy, don't you love Wolf? :love-struck:

I'm reading Talisman and digging it. I should have it done within a few days, after which I plan to start Black House.

I've never read it, as crazy as that probably sounds lol. I have 3 copies of it though so that's not an excuse, LOL.

Did Peter Straub write this one with King as well, or just Black House? I can't believe I have neglected to read both of those over the years. Real stupid move!

I definitely enjoyed the book, though it wasn't my favorite. Black House, however, is one of my favorites.

Henry Leyden is my second-favorite SK character. He's interesting, perceptive, and so sharp.

...and given his avocation-he's always had a soft spot in my heart...rather than the obvious soft spot in my head....

It's my favourite as well! And yes, I do love Wolf. LOL
I know that SK wrote this book with Peter Straub, but when you guys read it, could you tell the difference? I mean, now I know that SK wrote this part... or Peter... ans so on...
    I couldn't. o_O

Finished Talisman. I enjoyed the book clean thru, front to back, page to page.

I couldn't, either, although I have read on here from a number of members that they could tell...they're thin on details though. A hundred years after so-and-so, like Twain's autobiography, when all those unpublished stories are published...readers will then learn the truth of who wrote what but not till then.

I could tell certain passages and whole chapters. Then, I couldn't tell as clearly. It's a matter of hearing one's Master's voice or not.
