....bastid!...can't lead us to the edge and not push us off!!!...

Just was more weird than anything. the crowd of ghosts starts walking in circles around my girlfriend and I, very slowly, all of them muttering something. At first I'm amused being it's a Rave and all. You see some pretty weird things at Raves...they stop every few seconds and reverse their direction but still going in circles around us. It's starts to be a bit creepy because they're walking really slow and the get ups they're wearing almost seem to not be touching the floor. Anyway, girlfriend starts to get a bit freaked out, asks them to stop and go away. They just kind of keep doing their thing without acknowledging anything she said. I step into the middle of two of them where they have to break up their circle dancing or whatever it is and a little too loudly ask them to move on. All of them stop at the same time, stare at me for what seems like a long time but in reality I'm sure was only a few seconds. Then the whole gaggle of them move toward the door and leave the Rave, never saying anything directly to us. My girlfriend chalked it up to the music, and just the whole Rave thing on Halloween experience but the whole thing just had an eerie feel to it...I kept looking for them to try and roll us in the parking lot when we left but they were gone....Ahhh, early 90's weirdness...

....thanks for finishing that out broheme....I can imagine the freak out factor, been at a couple of weird deals like that myself-but something about a very large and irritated man with balled up fists, sorta kinda makes people pick up their step and move along.....

LOL. I hear ya. I spent months, years thinking about that group of "ghosts". I didn't read about any disappearances or homicides around that time so I guess they were just getting into character for Halloween.

This a long shot, but does anyone remember a cartoon from the 70s set to classical scary music ? I want to say it was Hall of the Mountain King, but when I listen that I'm not sure. When I was in elementary school the music teacher would show the film (on a reel to reel!) every Halloween. It showed a graveyard with skeletons coming out of their graves and dancing and playing the fiddle - they had a grand time, and at the end it settled down and the rooster crowed and all was well again. Anyone remember? That Grieg piece is good Halloween tune too, but I don't think it's what I'm trying to think of.

I'm becoming a classic music nerd. I have the Bach Cello Suite, just the first 30 seconds as my ring tone.

And something else interesting, here's a good place to share.

Our city symphony orchestra used to do a free kids concert the Saturday before Halloween, and the musicians would dress up in costumes and play Halloween music, and Star Wars themes too. It was such a cool thing. They don't do it anymore.

...could it be "The Skeleton Dance" a Silly Symphony By Disney?....
