This poor girl was mauled to death by a bear. She was the best friend of one of my friends. This is a horrible way to die. Becky will be going up to this site to work this weekend. I am trying to get her not to go but she already told her crew she would go. My other family member was there when this happened. Rest in Peace, Lorna.

I'm very sorry for your friend's loss.. Black bears are predatory in nature,more so than grizzlies, though the grizzly has a scary rep due to being so large..hard to know what to say other than I am very sorry..

Becky was talking to her brother this past week...Lorna and he had just got back from a trip from Mexico. This will be so very hard on the family. It is not typical for the bears to go to a crowded site like that. The workers see them around but they have never attacked. She was just coming out of the washroom for pity's sake.

He saw the bear but he was driving a truck. A few moments after, it got Lorna. He is not in good shape, either. Some family time is called for.
