I had a really good werewolf. And a tiny guy was Davey Crockett, and I knew it but as he walked away he said, "I'm DAvey Crockett you know."

And I think I had a little guy who was Aladdin but he was really decked out. It was actually a very pretty costume. I hate to ask them what or who they are because I don't want to insult their creativity. They want you to just know what they are.

Happy Halloween!!! I bought a big bag of mixed chocolate. Good stuff too. I've had about 40 kids so far but I think it's about over now. It got me thinking that I wouldn't be that great of a dad. I would probably want to buy my kid the big bag of chocolate and sit around the house sharing it and watching scary movies. Some of these parents I have seen look very tired! I like to stay at home.

Oh Geez Neesy - THAT came to your door? Wow - that would have skeered me to death! We only had about 20 kids come by. The husband took our youngest out to trick or treat, I stayed home with our teen and gave out candy (those too tiny chocolates from Costco). I'm kind of tired of the whole T or T thing - our kids are spaced so far apart that we've been at it for 22 years. I guess I'm just a Bumhug this year.

we had about 200 - 220 kids... we're right off of the main drag so we get slammed every year. It was really cool to have a strong year since Hurricane Sandy obliterated last years festivities.

we gave out Reecies, Milky Ways, Snickers and M&Ms.

We didn't have any, but that is because we were out. I love taking the kids but a little part of me is looking forward to when they are too big and I can stay home and hand out candy.

There were some neat costumes at the Treat Street event though. A really fun witch, and one of the businesses had all their people as Dorothy, the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow. Some World of Warcraft characters. And a couple dressed as a ketchup and mustard bottles.

120 kids in under and hour. That might be a record here. No dogs dressed up this year.

We didn't have many kids since it stormed here. My daughter has been practicing dressing up our dog since the middle of October. I'd really bet he's happy that Halloween is over! My daughter wore a mask very similar to the one shown by Neesy. Her mask was a white faced killer clown with purple and black hair. My other daughter was an undead pirate. ( a great mask too) Both of my girls kept getting voted " scariest mask" and were awarded extra candy. I will try to post a picture of them from my tablet. ( ugh don't know how, the image icon only gives me url options ) I have one taken on a warm pre Halloween day they are both in shorts and Halloween masks.

I gave out chocolate. Kit Kat bars, Hershey's, Almond Joy. Word must have got out because they flocked for more! See, I'm living with my daughter and grandchildren now. Last year I was living with my son. Yeah, the infernal moocher, that's me. Wait, let me rephrase. My kids share joint custody of me. There, that's better. My daughter told me not to expect many trick or treaters this year, as there weren't many customers come knocking last year. Being a granny scout I try to be prepared anyway. So I got a bunch of candy (the good kind!) and a cute box to hand it out from, oh and a skull that's way too chatty for my daughter's taste, and some fake pumpkins for the yard. My daughter decorated the windows and spider webbing for the bushes. Of course a scary wreath for the front door. Lots of candy. By 8:30 PM, it was gone. Oh no! Raid the granddaughter's booty! Oh no! That's gone now too! Okay, what to give? What to give 'em? I know! Glow bracelets and necklaces! Had the entire neighborhood aglow! They looked like human fireflies! Loved it! Every single minute!
