Trivia. Obscure, Useless, and Cool.

I am a veritable font of trivia. Like the title of the thread I will share...

Obscure:

Animals have different gaits. For example animals who walk on four legs/limbs some have a symmetrical gait where the left and right legs of a pair alternate. An asymmetrical gait, the legs move together.

Useless:

Actor Andy Garcia was born with a conjoined twin. ( Actually a mass of tissue that was a twin. It was removed shortly after birth.) ( Reminded me of George Stark. Ha!)

Cool:

The first case of child abuse was successfully prosecuted under the A. S.P.C.A . law. (There were no child abuse laws at the time. The A.S.P.C.A . argued in court *Mary* the abused child, fell under the law of protecting animals-the animal kingdom-thus, a crime.) (She was removed from the home.)

Yes. Camels and bears have an asymmetrical gait. I don't know if it's true or not, but I was told that if a bear takes after you on a hillside, run straight across the face of the hill to get away. Because of the bear's gait, its camber will give it problems running across the slope.

(If you're confronted by a cougar, this won't work. Do not run.)

Michael Landon's birth name was Eugene Orowitz. John Wayne's was Marion Morrison. Not sure why that sticks.

I always remember those two birth names too, as well as Judy Garland's which was Frances Gumm. I always have to look up Rock Hudson's: Roy Sherer.
