Can we really be alone in this thing we call the universe? Only the Shadow knows..
26 Pictures Will Make You Re-Evaluate Your Entire Existence
Can we be alone? No, absolutely not. Life on other planets, maybe even Mars is almost a certainty, intelligent life is different ball game. It takes a hell of a lot of circumstances to fall right - type of star, planet's distance from star, water, amino acids, planets rotation and tilt, electromagnetic field, big massive planet in the solar system to hoover up the bulk of Asteroid strikes (our Jupiter) to name a few. That said, it's happened before so it can happen again. There are billions of galaxies containing billions of stars - I like the chances of at least one of those stars having a similar set up to our sun.

Those pictures are awesome, 21 is the most mind blowing to me - it's the one were we are most able to grasp the sense of scale. The scale of space is simply unfathomable.

Yes..have often wondered, what is beyond our universe, then past that, and so on..there can't be an end, because what is beyond the end?And still somehow everything fell right here,to produce life which eventually narrowed down to us chasing our lives across this world..sure does make one feel small.

I don't think we are the only life in universe. That would be unlikely. But how high evolved it is is anotrher matter. And if it is high evolved if it is technical inclined like we are right now. But i kind of think that if there is life intelligent enough to make ufos and fly to the earth they would also be intelligent enough to leave us alone. We don't really mix well with other species. One thing were good at as a species are extinction.

I believe that there is life out in the universe, maybe even life that is comparable or more intelligent than our own. In a universe of near infinite possibilities we can't be alone.

However, I believe that Aliens that have managed to master one of the great holy grails of scientific achievement (faster than light travel) are unlikely to squander that achievement buzzing around in little ships, scaring aircraft and taking an unusal interest in kidnapping people who at their best, arent the finest representatives of humanity.

To me and my oh so cynical mind, things don't add up - i.e. how come most of the ships in UFO sightings don't look exactly the same. How many aliens or models of spaceships are out there? How can they be smart enough to avoid giving definitive proof of their existence but at the same time allow amateur photographers and witnesses to see and snap them? Why are they so keen on internal probes? How on Earth could any government actually cover up something this huge and momentous for at least fifty years? How does a spaceship that has travelled billions of miles/light years crash in a desert?

Of course, it is possible that we have been visited but I find it unlikely as there is no proof. To be honest, I would never want Aliens to visit us. We'd be the Natives and they would be the technologically superior race coming in.

I don't even need to read that article to understand that this is a case, several has been discovered, of where early binding of the skull, as practiced among different tribes, results in the skull not forming in the usual way. Then it grows in another direction. Same can be seen with the bindings of the neck resulting in extremely long necks in some african tribes and the feet resulting in much smaller feet in some chinese women. I am sure the archaeologist digging up the skull said so too.

The easy answer is: money. Look at how many billions of dollars are tied up in the transportation industry. Look at who owns the big oil companies. Look at the fact that the CIA is completely outside and above the law. If someone were to come up with a way to travel without the use of fossil fuels, if someone were to discover a way to have free energy, it would change everything. Money would, eventually, cease to matter. Those in control would fall. And no 1%er wants that...

And think about this; if all the species that have tried to interact with us are immediately killed and incinerated, wouldn't the survivors think twice about landing? Wouldn't they become far more careful with how they communicated with us?

I think there must be other intelligent life out there. It may not necessarily be "humanoid" in appearance, which is the exact problem. The life on our planet alone is bizzare and complex and amazing, but humans have a bad habit of destroying anything that isn't six feet tall, blond haired, blue eyed, and wealthy. (don't believe me? Go into the history books and see how much damage white man has caused over the centuries.) And further, look at the dolphin. They are as smart or smarter than we are, they live on our planet, and because they will never pay taxes we treat them like a lowly animal. Imagine if we found intelligent, alien life out there, but it was in the form of a moss. Or animalistic. Or something equally strange. Human history dictates that we would immediately destroy it and take over their world.

Humans have never done well with different...
