Awesome!!! Is Mr. Mercedes going to a TV or movie adaptation?
TV--10 episodes from what I understand
Have they signed up Michael Rooker yet to play the part of Hodges?
Haven't heard any casting updates.
Do you know if it's going to be on cable or network TV?
I don't think that part has been settled yet.
Do you know if Big Jim is going to become a good guy? Y'know, kinda like how Darth Vader somehow became a good guy.
hehe... Its fun asking Ms Mod questions she knows the answers to but can't tell
I can neither confirm nor deny.
I figure since Dick Cheney has become beloved by so many since leaving public office, I guess there is hope for Big Jim.
Since this isn't exactly art imitating life, there's still the possibility that Big Jim could develop a conscience and a heart.
Now that’s what I consider obvious humor. Misguided perhaps, but enjoyable witticism IMO.
Syfy is airing the old Twilight Zone episode "Stopover in a Quiet Town" on Saturday 7/5 at 1:40 am (US central time). Back on the old boards, btobey said she thought UTD's ending was a bit similar to Stopover. Whether SK was influenced by it or not, its a great episode. Catch it if you can
I don't think I've seen btobey around
Maybe someone already mentioned this, but this should have a spoiler alert on it? I read "Under the Dome" and I would be upset with the opening post about what was in the book.
Personally, I wasn't too thrilled with last season because I was too close to the book. Now, I can't wait for the second episode! Love the cameo by King and a brilliant move because that is why I watched it. NOW, I am hooked again. Good thinking King!
It's very hard, but I leave spoiler tags closed! I don't mind waiting. Delayed gratification is a good thing. I do like seeing what people think, though.
After all that waiting! I had such a long week at work last week, I missed the first episode of UTD. I have to watch it online tomorrow before Monday's episode. Does anyone have a direct link? I keep finding advertisements and talk shows.
I'm not for sure but you might need amazon prime to get amazon instant videos. CBS teamed up with amazon for UTD. Here's a link to Heads Will Roll on amazon.

I had one particular actor in my mind who could play Hodges, and it's Sam Douglas - http://www.hotflick.net/flicks/2005_Derailed/big/fhd005DRL_Sam_Douglas_001.jpg
He seemed like the only option for me.
I've asked Jordan to start a new category for the TV adaptation of Mr. Mercedes so casting discussion can be moved there instead of continuing here in the UTD thread. Once that's opened, I'll move the relevant posts.
