Becky was outside on the step and this older gentleman, who lives on Ada Boul....rich street just off from ours...walked up to her with an expensive bottle of wine. He thanked her for her christmas lights and said we do so much to make the neighbourhood pretty. This is so swell...makes us feel Christmasy. Last week, we received a xmas card from the city councillor of our ward thanking us for our pretty flowers during the summer and said that it does a lot to improve the neighbourhood. WOW. I am gobsmacked. Now I do not have to pay for wine for xmas dinner lol.
