Hi!

I have a thing when I watch movies.

I tend to notice clocks and note the time. IDK why. I have a touch of OCD so if the clock reads 12:34 it makes me very happy. 1:23 is good and triples, 1:11, 2:22. 3:33 etc. is cool.
It totally messes with my head if the clocks don't follow. (Where's the continuity person?)

What do you notice?

Thank you!

Peace.

I notice landscaping: trimmed trees and hedges, mowed lawns, pretty flower beds, greenery.
This is seasonal.
When it's summertime, I notice how wild things are in rural Tennessee and Kentucky, the ivy and kudzu and morning glories and trumpet vine, cedars and wild blackberry brambles.
In fall, I notice the trees and the color and the leaves everywhere.
In the wintertime I love seeing everything blanketed in snow, especially evergreens.

I notice things about houses...the same goes for all of your photos...I notice the siding, the windows, the balusters on the porch, the soffit, fascia...door handles...the roofing I try to see if things line up, if the roofer took care to chalk lines or if they just winged it. This one photo I noticed the screen was put in upside down. Heh! The reason you notice those things is 'cause you made all those mistakes and you find a certain kind of relief knowing that you're not the only one. I notice the baseboard, the trim around doors...KingRiceFan has some nice woodwork in his house and I guess he did some of that, impressive stuff. I like looking at the photos of people from other countries, see how their windows are configured, see if I can figure out how they open, how they lock...maybe they have bars on the windows. Saw that one time. Or say the photo is set back and you get some perspective of the neighborhood...mature trees, full-growth, big...you get some moss growing on the walls of the house...or...black stuff...mildew? I enjoy noticing that some people have the same kind of window I like to install, saves money on the install and on energy...see if I can recognize the manufacturer of that window.

Hot guys...

kidding! (mostly)

Hi!

What makes a guy hot in your opinion?

I don't particularity like a man who is too cut or too muscular. I don't find pretty men attractive.

I didn't expect to be called on it :biggrin2:
Hmmmm.... mostly it's his personality. I like humour, kindness, a lil bit of gentlemanly, a degree of shyness can be alluring too.
Not to say that I wouldn't appreciate a decent bod, (not too ripped, either) and the ability to uh... take the lead in a, ummm, certain situation... but, it's not a prerequisite, y'know?
(aww, now I'm getting all shy n stuff... :a11: :biggrin2: )

I'm sorry. Beg pardon.
Gotcha! I agree with all you said. My husband was all that. Handsome (he didn't believe it), intelligent, dry wit, sweet, kind, thoughtful, strong, gentle and he had a manly man body. Muscular and hard but not muscle-bound.

And about those certain situations...it was so sexy that he could be so strong yet so gentle where it counted...*swoon*

Thank you! >>>hugs<<<

I notice job environments. If the dialogue isn't consistent with the job persona, if the desks don't look used, if the cars look sterile, if the Magic Parking Space shows up one too many times, and so on, it doesn't bug me terribly, but it makes me wish they'd done a better job on those details. I guess in that sense, it detracts from my viewing enjoyment because I don't quite have the same level of the willing suspension of disbelief.

Thank you. Excellent!

The Magic Parking Space stands out and it peeves me. When the daylight changes (gets darker in the middle of the day) because something scary/ominous is about to happen. Ugh. And when the camera lingers on something. Aaaa...yeah, I get it. That's going to be significant later on in the movie. And when a character is left handed in one scene but right handed (or vice-verse) during the rest of the movie. :glare:

Have a great weekend!

This. No end of times I see movies and TV shows where it's obviously wrong, like:
Char #1: (hugging self) Wow, cold this morning, huh? This winter's really dragging on. *blather blather waffle exposition*
Me: Shouldn't be, and it's not winter. Those trees there are in full leaf and the quality of light is all wrong. Looks to be a warm morning around mid-July.

or where you see people in T-shirts and shorts, acting like they're having a great summer vacation...even though the surroundings say it's sometime around late-February to mid-March.
Another one goes something like:
Char #2: I'm so hungry. I've not eaten in three days and I've had no water since yesterday morning.
Me: Hm. Odd, because it looks like you've just finished filling your face, and there's no dryness or cracked appearance to your lips. Hasn't anyone ever heard of make-up?

I prefer books for a reason. :D

Cool question Sig! I notice what's on the book shelves and what's on the TV, sometimes I miss what's going on in the show trying to figure that out. Of course I notice the guys too. I'm just boy crazy, so instead of noticing hot guys, I'm always looking for "what's hot on this guy?" Mostly what's hot is attitude - respect for women, a genuine smile, courteous, can make me laugh, of course, it doesn't hurt if he has a smoking hot bod and nice long eye teeth - yes, weird, I know.

Oh, that sexual attraction thing.

Rarely do I notice how hot a lady is, except when it jumps out as improbable for the role. Top cop in a division is a smokin' hot babe. Uh-huh. Now, there are a few exceptions, one of them being Grace Kelly in Rear Window. We were watching it, liking it, and about halfway through, as the camera was on Ms. Kelly, I said, quite spontaneously, "She... just has no bad angles." I thought Grandma might resent it, but she just nodded and said, with some wonder in her voice, "She's gorgeous."

But I digress. I realize the parade of pulchritude is part of the process in mass entertainment, but it's a restful if rare moment when ordinary-looking - not bad-looking, just ordinary-looking - people are featured on the screen.
