....it is captivating....I read at bedtime and find it a struggle to put the bookmark in and go sleepy-bye.....

Same here. I started it last night - I am looking forward to the weekend when I can truly read it, without work interfering. I thought of taking it with me, it started out that good.
I would not have been able to put it down, and need to keep my job.

Has anyone started reading "The Outsider"? I'm number 2 on the library waiting list, but read the few beginning pages you can get on Amazon. It is starting off like a "who done it'.

Started and finished. Hang in there, it's worth it!

I just finished a re-read of Heart-Shaped Box. Considering revisiting Horns. I enjoyed that the first time and loved the movie. Also have Double Whammy by Hiaasen in my hands.

I'm slowly but steadily going through all the books I can get my hands on. I donated my entire collection of Stephen King books to a bookstore in 2001 but recently decided I should catch up quite a bit. I've reread some favorites and given a chance to established classics. Currently I'm reading Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption in Different Seasons. Once I feel "caught up" I intend to experience Clive Barker's work.

I started The Oustsider the day it was released but just can't seem to get the time to sit down and lose myself in it. Too d*mn many other things from life keep popping up and taking my time!!!

It will be there waiting when you are ready. It can sit for so long - But you know the words are calling to you.

I've picked it up and had a hard time putting it down. I'm not ready to get that deep yet. It's that good. Already upset and attached to the characters.

I had to take a sleeping pill just to be able to put the Outsider down on sunday evening. I had to sleep or i would have been the brother of the Wreck of The Hesperus. But its good! No doubt about it. I'm 300 pages in and i want to go on and on.

I've finished it and I have to say, it's a whole new type of crime fiction. Very hard to put down, so I left it down until I could really sink in. Great characters. But hold on to your hats my friends.
Agghh!! I can't wait!! I am about half through and would be reading it now if it weren't for stupid work! I should've taken a mental health day today!!:suspect:
