Oh. Thanks. Thats interesting. I didn't think it would be anything but loosely. It is King writing after all.
Maybe Salinger, loosely (geographically, anyway)--he was a quite famous 'hermit'.
SO close! I'm just on 153, and trying to resist going any farther--too much to do today that can't be put off. If I don't close the book NOW, I won't be able to stop--I have very low resistance to book temptation.
I can't believe I was actually thinking that. I never get these kinds of things right. Thx!
That and his having written a number of works that were briefly published on-line without permission from his estate after he died, fortunately of natural causes at his home in NH.
Salinger is who I was thinking of.
I read to the end of part 1 (page 150ish) last night. I'm loving it too.
Achtung has probably finished it and read two more books by now.
i reached 235 in finders Keepers. Expecting to cross the line into 300-country this evening.
I'm glad that the reactions were positive. I really didn't want his fans to be disapointed, because I know King tries to delier everytime to his devoted fans. It just didn't do it for me, this time. End of. Enjoy the book people, and live happily.!
I really enjoyed Finders Keepers, but it isn't without flaws. A solid 4/5 novel.
Hey, I did not like Dr. Sleep (at all) or Revival (some parts were OK). Different strokes... It's all good!
I'm off. Leaving Finders Keepers at page 310 and will return, and probably finish it tomorrow. Now i'm heading for the bed. (wonder if my blanket spirit/ghost/poltergeist will appear during the night?)
It's so hard for me to put it down . . .
What if everyone wrote that well . . .I would never get anything else done in life, because I'd be too busy reading!!!!
Busy day is (mostly) over, so I'm getting back to my book 
My day was hectic as well: Grocery shopping, Cut the grass, spray weed killer on said grass, install two air-conditioners in windows as this weekend will hit the mid 90's, etc. To top it off- I have a summer cold!!! ARGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Busy day is (mostly) over, so I'm getting back to my book
Dang! Summer colds are the WORST! Can you take antihistamines (at least at bed time) to dry up the snotties so you don't cough & can sleep?
