My reading has gotten bunged up again. I WILL endeavour to clear that up as there is so much new stuff out at the moment. King, Irving, Galbraith, Kellermans (father and son), the list goes on.....
Irving has something new? I must google!
Oh mercy, that sounds good.

Except when I hear the name Juan Diego I always think of:

And this is new too:

OK, I'll quit playing with images, but I do love Irving and Allende too. It's an exciting season for us book nerds, eh?

I won't get to start in on The Bazaar of Bad Dreams until Christmas. Just like last year with Revival, my wife is giving me a copy as a gift. I've been told I'm hard to buy for, so I had to have something on my list. I don't like the waiting, but I know she enjoys giving them to me as gifts.
I have a funny feeling that if I do not get my copy soon, my hubby will ask me what book I want for Christmas.

Not sure if I can wait that long - December 25th is a long way off!

Bought The Bazaar of Bad Dreams on Saturday and read all the introductions to the stories. Also bought William Goldman's The Princess Bride which was sitting on the shelf almost next to King's book. Never read it. Looks good. I saw the movie. I liked how King used to give blood and got good price because he has a rare blood type.

The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies. The book is even better because you get a lot of backstory that is not in the movie. Enjoy!

I don't have BoBD yet. It may be a Christmas gift.

I just finished a book called Something must be done about Prince Edward County by Kristin Green. It's about a Virginia community that closed it's public schools and opened an all-white private academy after the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling for desegregation. The author is going to be at our book club on Wed night and her grandparents were supporters, which she struggled with. I am really looking forward to this discussion.

Finished The Dead Zone on Saturday. I'd been in a reading slump for a couple weeks and hadn't picked it up at all. A bit different from his other novels of the 70's, but I really liked it. It was much deeper emotionally than I ever expected. Getting ready to start Firestarter next.
