Finished Witch&Wizard by James Patterson last night. Easy reading, as it's supposed to be a book for children:nevreness: Can't say it is absolutely great, but rather curios... I would call it a Brand New World, children's version.

Starting to re-read The Woman in Black by Susan Hill. Can't help reading it again. After I read this one, I will return to reading Stephen King.

Haven't been here in a while. While I wasn't here I've read Heart Shape Box by Joe Hill(not that scary but interesting and a really fun read) and Poisonwood Bible by Babara Kingsolver (loved this book, loved it). Now I'm halfway through 11/22/63 . Not what I expected, I assumed it would be more political (which is good, because I know little of American politics, especially stuff that happened long before I was born) but it isn't really and fortunately easy to read despite being HUGE. Also reading simultaneously Ray Bradbury Short Stories Volume 1, which is like 100 of his short stories. I have read few Bradbury before so decided to start this and now I can't put it down. Just amazing and leaves me breathless.
Oh, lucky you! Bradbury is special. I wish I could encounter his work again for the first time.

I have 50 pages to go in Outlander book 7 and am very distressed at the turn of events! I am scared to finish it now...

@MadamMack You should give Outlander a look! I'm not too fond of straight-up romance books myself but there is so much more to them than just romance. So much adventure and history in them as well. I have very much enjoyed them all.

Thank you for the info . . .I think I'll give 'em a read~
I agree with @cat in a bag, @MadamMack - there is a big difference between Diana Gabaldon's series and your standard run of the mill romance pap - I would not even put her in the same category to be truthful. Apparently even Stephen King himself approved of Marsha's choice with reading Gabaldon so there you go - if he thinks it's good then who are we to argue? It may not be to everyone's taste but then I could not stand "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver and it got good reviews.

I'm halfway through Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. Absolutely enthralling, though I do disagree with the soundbite on the front cover... "More gripping than a Stephen King novel" : Sunday Times. I mean, it's good but really? Anyway, it's a no holds barred book about his rise through the kitchens, from pot washer to chef. Loving it. (plus I have quite a crush on him too :wink2:)
Who - Bourdain or King? ;):bashful:

Currently reading: The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and re reading SK's Under the Dome. I don't know who's the more unlikeable human beings SK has written - Selectman Remmie or Beverly's husband from IT

And I reckon King let's them off easy in how they died. I remember Tom Rogan died of "harmless" heart attack while Remmie I believed didn't die too bloody a death

Or maybe the husband in Rose Madder? And I think Big Driver
little driver, actually [end/spoiler] was horrific. Sai King does a spectacular job of the scary guy.

Yeah - that husband is Rose Madder was one sick cat! (especially the part where he had repeatedly bit the guy from the bus stop who directed Rose to the women's shelter) - yuck what a horrible way to die :down:.

:D Signing my name on the cards was always a big, formal thing to me. I loved them!

I finished Another Man's Moccasins yesterday, read Joe Hill's Wolverton Station this morning, and getting ready for a reread of Just After Sunset.
What did you think of "Wolverton Station @cat in a bag? I have only read NOS4A2 so far)
