I finished Post Singular by Rudy Rucker, which had a similar feel to it as his "-ware trilogy". That was enjoyable albeit a strange ride. Then I read Mr. Mercedes and now I am about 1/3 of the way through SK's The Eyes of the Dragon. Really liking Eyes of the Dragon. :grinning:

I think (even though it is 1 a.m. here) I will go read a bit of book IV - Wizard and Glass - or maybe not - I usually read before bed but since I have to get up at 5:30 a.m. maybe I will skip it tonight.

That's what I get for falling asleep on the couch earlier! (there was a good documentary on Stephen Hawking but I was so tired I nodded off).

At the moment i'm reading a history. How Rome fell by Adrian Goldsworthy. But i just suffered a major catastrofy. My bedlamp died. caputt. Out of order. Seized to function. Which mean i cant read before i go to sleep. And i don't have a spare lamp. And it is to dark to read otherwise. So i will have horribly problems going to sleep because i have to read atleast for awhile or i'm sunk. I will toss and turn the whole night in my sheets like a fish in the net. So this is probably a little off topic but i had to moan somewhere. Thanks for listening
Jesus Christ. For someone that lives in Sweden that's heavy duty.

I saw this documentary about the British writer Terry Pratchett recently. It's about 'assisted death.' Pratchett reckons he's got Dementia, even though he looks OK to me. I'm a Catholic. Catholic's don't believe in suicide. He said if he can't write a sentence he would rather be dead. I don't know?

Do you read in English or Swedish?
Mostly English. Fact books almost always in english because just a few gets translated. King you can of course read in swedish but i find that it is much easier to get the feeling of the book in english. That varies with different authors. Some are, for some reason, more difficult to translate.

I was raised Catholic myself but when it comes to some of these poor people that are suffering I really start to wonder. We will take a dog to the vet and get them a shot if they are beyond hope, but people have to just slowly suffer?

When I was in grade school and middle school, my stepmonster would constantly criticize me for the type of books I read. I ALWAYS thought to myself, "Well, at least I'm reading!"

You know Morgan . . .sometimes adults criticize kids because they are just damn mean. I learned at an early age that I couldn't trust many adults. They are the worse bullies.
