We are too! As soon as the pizza is done (waiting for the dough to rise), pizza/movie party in my basement :)
I wish I could - the boy has twin friends spending the night, the girl is mad at me (always).
...The Ohio State vs Virginia Tech game...
Me too! Me, the dogs and the Ogre. Intense, for me anyway.

For once, no one is mad at me (unless The Man is & isn't saying anything-lol). I learned that it's a given when you're a parent and more interested in being that than a friend that someone is nearly ALWAYS mad at you.

:yes_pig: It's actually kind of nice, since she's mad, she's upstairs away from me. If she wasn't mad, she'd be down here talking, talking, talking.

I watch the Rocky movies every so often, even more so since I've taken on boxing 4 months ago. Whenever I feel down I watch them all one after the other it gives me an amazing boost of motivation. Rocky rocks.

I love most of those movies - I don't think I saw the last one. Supercool that you are boxing! I bet that's a great workout, and I would love to be able to throw a mean punch.

Thanks HollyGolightly :)
Boxing is indeed a great workout, it's so complete. And it's a great way of letting your frustration out. It fits perfectly with what I am trying to achieve with my Moroccan exile. I'm taking time out to reflect on past behavioral patterns of mine which have led me into painful situations and trying to learn from it and correct them so I can move on. It's not a walk in the park but boxing is helping me a great deal. I definitely feel stronger now. And yeah, I can throw a few mean punches now :)
If you haven't, you really must see the last Rocky, it's a perfect and poignant conclusion to the saga.
Sorry for the ramble :a11:

You're Lucky!!! I had two terrible years when i did terrible things to my mum, I got angry in an instant and was mean and cruel to her. Once i locked her in in the bathroom... She didn't get out for hours.... But if i was horrible then i was much nicer in my teens so she says now that that evened it all out a little. Perhaps she is only saying that to be nice to me.

Good for you - I have been trying to reflect on my life and past behaviour etc. as well. We should continue learning and adapting through our whole lives, or else we stagnate.

So what did you think of the movie Skimom2?

I think they did a real good job on making Jamie Fox character (Electro) look like he was charged up lol.
I was surprised that Gwen died that was messed up :(.

I thought it was okay. I really like Andrew Garfield as Spiderman, and love Jamie Foxx in anything, but the story felt kind of…unfocussed. They really got Spiderman's smartassery, though--lol. I missed that in the Tobey Maguire Spiderman movies--they made him so sincere and earnest, and in the comics Spiderman is always joking.
I did know about Gwen, though, from the comics. Her death was way worse there, though--speared by a rocket thingy shot at Spiderman by the Goblin.
