1. The holidays are upon us and after discussion among the moderators, it has been unanimously decided that we will be closing the Board on the following dates to give us the chance to enjoy the holidays with our families and so that the volunteer moderators will not have to cover for me while I am on vacation. The Board will be open to read and those who have those privileges can still send private messages and post to Profiles.

    Another vote for the Unabridged version of The Stand. My last cruise, I re-read IT.

    Thanks everyone. Looks Like I'll be reading the unabridged version of The Stand! Though I'll probably washout until tomorrow evening before I make my final decision (just to see if one of the other 2 ends up getting more votes).

    I'm excited to finally get to read The Stand. Tried it 6 years ago but found it too large to read during the school year

    Save The Stand for a longer cruise. Between 'Salem's Lot and The Shining, the latter has great character development and an intriguing plot. Shine on.
