Dang, snow doesn’t exist in these parts
Come on over. We'll share!!
Just spending another day trying to stay warm. It's minus 17 today which is an improvement over a recent cold snap where it went down to minus 30. Josh got a bit of frostbite on his right pinky.

He ripped the skin off :facepalm_smiley: and now has to keep it covered up with a bandage until it heals. Yuk - looks all wet and red underneath :zip_it:

It just looks like a blister but because he ripped the skin off I told him to keep it covered up and change the Band Aids when they get wet, to prevent infection. How are you doing today?
Just thinking about it makes my teeth hurt......

I'm good. We're up to 15 degrees F, today....so we're warm compared to y'all. I've been working on client letters to notify them of my upcoming move.
The receptionist who thinks she's the boss of me is on vacation for two weeks, and the Tarheels played some awesome basketball last night.

How you doing, Neesy ?

-10 degrees C here. But today it does not matter. And why? Because i slept through the whole day. Have been having big, and i mean BIG, sleeping problems lately and this day the body refused to wake up. I awoke about 4 pm. Must somehow have turned off the alarm in my sleep. Called in to work and confessed my sins. They said "you must have needed it, see you tomorrow". So i'm staying indoors today. But after this long sleep, how am i going to sleep tonight?? HMMM

You certainly have excellent employers! Lucky you :encouragement:

....Neesy?....make sure Josh allows some air to that site so that it can dry and toughen up.....Sunny?......keep drivin' girl! You are on point....and Kurb, or Rip Van Winkle if you will-get a better alarm!!:biggrin2:...
You know, in winter times i feel like Nature really had intended me to be a bear. Heaven is to sleep a few months and wake to the winds of spring. But unfortunately i was born in a weak human body and must get up in the morning......

Well, Mr. Blue is supposed to be picking me up from work but he just called to let me know the car battery is dead in his work garage and they're waiting for a tow truck to come jump it. This is the second time the valet has left the lights on and killed the battery. It has never happened anywhere else. I freaking hate valet-only garages but it is his only option for parking at work. I'm so tired and just want to be home. Instead, I'm sitting at my desk waiting for updates. It is rush hour so I have no idea how long this could take and they won't allow another car into the garage to jump it.

Why does Mr. Blue have valet parking?

No celebrity status required. In Seattle, valet is super common so they can cram as many cars in as possible in a garage by parking them several cars deep. At his old office, he had a self park garage. Now, we have a valet and it is a huge pain in the ass. Not only have they killed the battery twice by leaving the lights on or door cracked, he has to wait 10-15 minutes for them to shuffle cars around so they can get his out at the end of the day. It is supremely annoying.

Had a check-in with the nutritionist today. Your friendly neighborhood SwiftDog is down another 11 pounds! Down 30 pounds total since August and 13 to go to hit my goal weight. Surprised I survived the holidays without finding some of those lost pounds.

Now she is telling me to increase my exercise level to aid in losing the last baker’s dozen. Might have to look into getting a personal trainer. I’ve never been one for organized exercise but we’ll see how it goes.
