I finished watching the third season of The Black Mirror (I loved it, apart from the very first episode), now I have 2 or 3 episodes of the fourth season left.
After binge watching the first three seasons of The Last Kingdom, we're now getting caught up on season 4.
This is just a general question. I have DirecTV and get my CBS, Fox and NBC networks from NY/LA because they do not offer locals in my area. I got an email stating I will be losing those channels on June 1 due to Stelar act. Congress says I cannot have the channels because they are out of market for me (I take that to mean advertising $ is lost on me because I do not shop in NY or LA) and DTV is refusing to expand so I can receive them locally. (Which why would they expand when they lose people to streaming than they gain new customers?)
So we are hemhawing about switching altogether to Dish (they do offer locals that would not be out of market for me) or just streaming. I rely on my DVR a lot though...if I get several weeks behind on something, are all the episodes typically still available or are they only up for a limited time? Plus sports...do the streaming networks show football or how would I watch that?
It irritates me. If I choose to pay for a channel I should get to watch it. That is what I think anyway.

I've been curious about that show. I watched Unorthodox; it was only four episodes. A compelling drama with compassion and humanity for all involved parties. I highly recommend it.

Just started season 3 of mr mercedes, I know that it's based around the finders keepers story, I just hope it's better than the book. Although to be fair, one of my big issues with the book was

a distinct lack of bill and holly for half of the book. (The reused themes of misery and shawshank redemption and one of my least favourite of Stephen's habits - people surviving being shot in the head didnt help either)

Did anyone watch the Snowpiercer? I haven't seen the movie, but the premise of the series is interesting. I am totally having to suspend disbelief with it but I want to be entertained, so it was intriguing.

Snowpiercer, the movie, is excellent. The show, not so much.
Last Kingdom is pretty good.
I enjoyed the series premiere. I'll hang in there to see what they do with it.
My SO was ready to turn it off after 10 minutes but I said I wasn't ready to give up that easily. I might have to watch the second show by myself but want to give it a chance. He's also the reason why I waited to watch Breaking Bad until this April when I signed up for Netflix and binged it. We watched the first episode and then he was done. We only have one TV and I'm not usually a daytime TV watcher so makes it more challenging when we don't agree on shows.
Are you talking about Snowpiercer? I never thought much of the series either if that is what you are referring to, the movie is much better.
Yes, the TV series which just premiered here this week so there's only been one episode aired that I'm aware of. I've never seen or even heard of the movie so don't have anything to compare it with.

The film itself is excellent, I did know that it was based on a comicbook, I also believe it was French. The French comicbook market is massive.
