If that smell got cooked into the heating ducts, I don't think it's ever coming out. One of the worst pranks you can do to somebody's car is pour skunk oil down the vents. Once the car starts and the smell cooks in, there's no getting rid of it. Not that I'd know from experience, or anything. *whistles innocently*
I think your landlord is going to have some major overhauling to do.
I hope I'm wrong.
I hope you're wrong too.
I immediately shut off the heat, so I don't think it got cooked.
I don't know if I've gotten used to the smell, or all the vinegar, candles and airing out is working, but I don't seem to smell it as much.
I am, however, freezing, with all this November air blowing through my house.
Please to send blankets.

I was bitten bad by a skunk one time. I was walking it on a leash.
Yes, I was. yes. I know. Be quiet. A skunk on a leash with a pretty collar with a bell on it.

My sister decided to have one as a pet, de smelled. One more reason I don't talk to her anymore.

They are not cats.

I was thinking the same thing, Lepp. Skunk smell through your vents might require professional cleaning. Look up what regs there are for landlords in your area, and be prepared to press him on this one.

Oh my! I've never had anything like this happen. I think a skunk lives under a shed out back (I've seen it meandering around back there a couple of times) but I haven't seen it for a while so maybe it's moved on. Hope your landlord is done 'praising Jesus' and gets the problem solved!

He came by a bit ago and placed a gigantic industrial fan at the vent on one end of the crawl space to blow the smell out--that's made a big difference. I had my front door open then noticed there were about 6,007 ladybugs congregating on my front porch, so had to close that door. At least it's sunny and warmer now, so I'm not both stinky AND cold! :)

Neighbour with a 'u.' You guys are so crauzy. Or crasy.
The sermon was about the invisible man.
Crazy suits me just fine. I'll have to get the grandkids to spell out a few things to see if we have adopted to 'no 'u'' spelling up here. I was taught that way in the 60's and it stuck (one of the few things that did). Did you remember to set yor clock back one hor? ;;D Happy Sunday, mal.

I'm trying to develop the spelling with extra 'u's so I will seem smarter and English. Also replacing Zs with Ss as in, I think you should apologise for that last remaurk. ;-D

I hope turning it off right away means it didn't cook in. I'm glad the fans are working and the vents clear out fast. :)
