First, I would always speak up whether it was male or female being drugged. This kind of thing really disgusts me.
I'm not really too surprised at their results. Statistically, women would probably try to help sooner, because we've possibly more often been a victim and so would respond from fear first.
But, it was kind of sad to see the guys being torn about saying something.

Watch this video:

Fascinating. Thoughts?
The guys' reactions are incredible to me. Maybe if one of them had been alone, without the influence of macho peers, he'd have behaved better, would've said something.

So, I think I'd've said something, probably to the bartender first, as soon as I saw it happen. If I got no satisfaction that way I'd call 911, explain what I'd seen, in order to try to avoid a possible life threatening emergency.

I'm really bad with confrontations, but I'd like to think I'd speak up. I think what would likely happen is that'd I'd speak to somebody else about what I saw so as not to face the situation alone and then confront he/she with a back up.
Me too for the most part, when I said (above) that I would say something, it would probably be to the bar staff first as well.

The most interesting thing was they did this in reverse and had a woman as the victim and the men all spoke up. I saw a similar thing some years back where they put men on the side of the road with a broken down car and same with some females. The women all had people stop to help within a minute or so. The men did not have one person stop.

I would probably have to think harder about stopping to help a man on the side of the road these days, sad but true.
