Pain,anger, fear,hurt..and joy,wonder,gratefulness, and anticipation.. Mostly though,hope..hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things..I think I read that somewhere..
Too complicated to put into words...sometimes joy, sometimes hate, much bitterness...regret, love, unforgiveness, sweetness, forgiveness, hell and heaven.
I don't have an heart I h ave an operating system. My brain is the CPu and i also have on my computer a joystick.

Not_nadine, fill your heart full of love respect whatever for your family and friends. if you think getting hurt is bad i will say we are NOT ALL like that. I have absolutely no confidence when it comes to dating. if you asked me out(you will be too tired waiting for me to ask) you would be pleasantly surprised. I have been known to open doors for women make them laugh buy them flowers(when they least expect it). I have kissed a woman in so long, as a programmer i am gonna develop a kissing robot. Don't give up. make every day like it's your last. surely you had a relationship that ended mutally. you will find someone. until then chat on the Messageboard, read STephen and do what makes you happy. You don't know what is around the next corner. could be mr right. have you ever been turned down 10 times by 10 different women. as a guy, it DOES affect your confidence. Like you i feel like i should give up. I am just concentrating on Reading steve, programming and chating on the board.
I guess this calls for something more than my smart-aleck response of "stent."

Disdain for ones who have proven malice.
Patience.
Not much anger or jealousy or hate. It impairs clear thinking.
Regrets. Insecurities. I don't want them, and I've tried to get rid of them, but I can't help it.
Confidence in my abilities, such as they are, but always tempered with the above-mentioned insecurities.
Joy of discovering new things and adventures even into old age. If I can keep doing that, it'll make life more worthwhile.
Happiness, serenity. I've got it good compared to almost everyone else who has ever lived on this planet.

Among all the other stuff everyone has said (with the exception of a stent; that I don't have.... yet) I try to keep some room for Jesus in there to. It just seems like it gets so crowded what with all the anxiety and fear I have, that he gets squeezed out sometimes. But then I see my man just sitting on the couch, or I think of my family, my mom & dad who are no longer here on earth, the beautiful blue sky today or a picture of my co-worker's 4-month old baby boy, and I find there is room for Jesus in there too.

Anger,today..a NYS trooper was intentionally struck and killed by a truck on the interstate yesterday,for no real reason.The anger is definitely at the guy,but also at the comments section of a lot of the stories about it.There are some really awful,vile things being posted which the family and co workers of this poor guy will no doubt see..what is going on in America today,that there are people who take actual joy in the horrible murder of a law enforcement officer..
