Hi!

I'm an active member on this board. I see a lot of stuff going on the board. A. Lot. Of. Stuff. Going on the board.

I have posted stuff here that might have caused a Mod a pause or two. (And some collateral damage from members.)

How do the Mods keep up with all members here? Our different personalities? All the PM's that we direct their way?

I love the Mods. I just wonder, what do they have to put up with and how?

Thank you!

I have always thought moderating any board must be a really tough gig.

I use a rugby forum and opinions get very VERY VERY heated on there and things get said and people get banned resonably frequently. This is almost inevitable where people are discussing stuff that matters to them.

I take the attitude that I approach any interactiosn with a sense of fun and humour and try not to take anything to heart.

TO be fair I don;t see too much of what I would call testosterone fuelled "key-board warrior" behaviour in this place. It's all rather civilised.

One positive thing:

You don't have to wear pants to do it. ;-D (Of course Ms Mod has to wear pants since she does it from an office)
That's one (of many) reason I so enjoy my work-from-home days. I can stay in my pjs all day long if I want. My co-worker has been out following surgery since Feb. 1st and will be out for another month or two, though, so have to come in Mon.-Fri. until she returns.

I can't even begin to imagine the inane and truly bizarre stuff the mods have to deal with. I realize they have their hands full with some of us (and I mean that in the most loving way :love-struck:), but can you just imagine the stuff they have to field that comes from people who join just to rant and be obnoxious? All the stuff we don't ever see because it never makes it to the boards? I shudder to think about this.

I feel worse for Jordan as he moderates the Facebook page. Compared to that, the SKMB is a piece of cake. :smile2:
