Gosh, I think last time I posted on here, I had lost my job and vowed to do nothing but write from that forward. Well, turns out I still needed time to lick my wounds and then life got in the way but it turn out all good.
My daughter recommended that I be of service to others as a sure cure for constant wallowing. So I called up my ex boyfriend from like nine years ago because he always made me laugh. Turns out he was in hospital with kidney failure.
Long story short and one diabetic coma later, he is on the mend and we are back together. The wedding is going to be in the spring.
One of the bonuses of all this is the writing. I am writing again! My boyfriend is very encouraging, not in the "Oh Cupcake, you are such a wonderful writer." But more like "Why are you wasting time on Facebook when you should be writing? Why are you watching TV? Why aren't you writing?" and "Shoo! shoo! Go Write!"
And so I do. And the writing is going well and it feels awesome. I am really trying to develop Mr. King-like writing habits. I just finished a humorous piece about going camping in New Mexico and right now I am working on a speculative fiction piece.
Speaking of Mr. King--loved FINDERS KEEPERS, and am listening to The Bazaar Of Bad Dreams in my car right now. I am also listening to The Library Policeman on my phone when I wash dishes and cook.
I've been lurking for a while but you'll be hearing more from me.
