Just moving to this rural area, two small children. Not many people in the area yet. New guy moves in about a mile down the rd and decides to clear his land via fire. Needless to say it got away. Watching and helping the neighbors contain and put out the fire before it reached our homes. Fire department was far away/ Forestry did come and make fire breaks. All homes were safe, but fire always scares me to death.

There are so many, but I'll go with the time a guy approached my friend and me and asked if we could score drugs. (Apparently we looked like hoods, lol)
He lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun in his pants. He asked where we lived and I lied and pointed to the nearest house. My knees were like jelly.
He eventually got bored with us and left.

It sounds so old timey, but I nearly died in childbirth. I have posted this story here before so I'll keep it short. I hemorrhaged after a c-section, and they couldn't run blood in as fast as it was pouring out.

They sent for my husband (he had gone with the baby after the birth.) I said, "He really doesn't do well with blood and stuff, you probably shouldn't bring him in here."

The doc said, "You need to kiss your baby, and you need to tell your husband goodbye."

Me too! The weird thing is that I didn't really "get" it for a couple years. Like my brain understood it, but also kind of thought, "Yeah, but I can't die, I'm the one point of intersection for everyone and everything I know. If I go off the cliff the world will fall apart!"

Yes, I've been tested, I'm a genius. This is another one of those reasons I submit that having a genius level IQ means nothing related to what we consider "smart."

They needed you, Jen- wasn't your time. Way too close. I remember you posting about it too.

Wisc/WAIS/Mensa doesn't matter much, statistically IQ implies a causal correlation between the quotient and a person's ability to achieve a socially acceptable level of success. Once the quotient hits the right side of the curve at a certain level, other factors obviously apply. Momma raised an idiot. I think I've mentioned the two times I died of asthma, the close calls regarding snuff films (confirmed),I can relate to these stories, I don't want to rehash my crap right now. Please don't misconstrue my tone. Enjoy being here, sorry ((:)(;)SKMB))) for sharing too much and not having a clue.

Had a gun held my head by ex-boyfriend had a gun held my chest by a psychopath. This is all I can say right now because I have to work in 20 minutes I want to take Alex swimming. Dictating, yes there are a couple of worse situations, Not including and during years of physical beating, choking, bruising-no I don't like abuse. Anyone presumptuous enough to underestimate the courage it takes to publicly mention an abusive relationship has never been in one.
