As many of you can probably figure out, I'm a big fan of The North Mississippi Allstars (brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson). Not only do Luther and Cody play in that band but they always have a load of side projects going on too, especially Luther. Luther has so much going on that even I can't keep up. I just discovered a project of his from 2012 that I didn't know about. It's an album with Luther, David Hidalgo (Los Lobos) and Mato Nanji (Indigenous) called "3 Skulls & The Truth." I just got this yesterday and have been listening to it over and over. It's a hard rocking blues sound similar in style to early ZZ Top. Anyway, here's one of the songs I like:
