It's a good question for the Internet age.

I think I will have said more than I've done... but I've done a fair amount. I've been involved in community building, in political endeavors, in leadership in my profession. But words, once published, outlast all of that. So the "said" endures over the "done," at least in the perception of those who follow us.

Ha - I'm a mother. Nope, I'm moving and doing from 6am until 10pm everyday of my life. I'm definitely a doer. I only sit and talk here, briefly. Otherwise, I'm doing while I'm talking. You know the drill.

Being a retired teacher, my hope is that what I have said will be considered what I have done for my students on their journey throughout their lives.

Yes, because a) I have to either say it or write it along with doing it to get my professional goals accomplished, and b) I'm a Chatty Cathy.

But that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Hm... and when I'm talking about I'll have said more than I would've done, I'm including a bunch of editorializing and technical-ish and entertainment writing in that. So I don't know if the writing is a doing thing or saying thing.

I did way too much when I was younger, now it's time to relax and talk about it!

Doing is the real thing. It's easy to talk. Better to build a bridge than to talk empty words, like politicians do.

Probably, as I am a comparatively powerless member of society there are things I can't do, but I can say.
