As we rush off from Thanksgiving/Hanukkah into Christmas, can we slow down for a minute to think of those around here and in our 3D lives that struggle?

Some folks have it rough this time of year, and could use some prayers, positive vibes, encouragement, or any goodness you could send their way.

Much love to those facing difficulties, sadness and loss right now. <3

I certainly think of all who are in worse situations than I myself and my family. This year our son has outgrown stuffed animals. He had some that were hung around his room ,so we will donate them to the police dept. or fire dept. who donates them to children in our community. These animals still have tags and only been used to decorate.

Absolutely agreed - I try to do my part and teach my kids the same. It ain't all about the presents under the tree. Life is hard for so many. It's about a constant sacrifice of ourselves for others every day - certainly in a marriage and with your kids - but also to those we don't even know who need what we have. Do something for someone else. The Veteran's Hospital, an orphanage, shelter for abused women, there's so many places that could use a moment of your time. Give, give, give!

Well spoken, Jen. We need to be thankful for has been given, and try to give back as we can. Even if it is just a kind word. Within personal lives, many events occur during the holidays-- some hold wonderful memories, others sadness. Prayers and good thoughts for all during this holiday season.

This can be very hard time of year for some. Loss of a loved one or just more stress than usual or loss of income or whatever. So I make an effort with food drives, toy drives and money box shakers at the mall. I have always impressed on my son that it is how thoughtful the gift is, not the cost. Luckily he turned out fine that way. We are blessed as a family and know it, so try to spread it around.

Give, volunteer or otherwise try to bring some joy to someone this holiday season. Tomorrow we are having a tree trimming party in our building lobby and have invited all of our tenants to come and celebrate with us. We have some people here who are elderly and have no family, so we want to get them involved. Next week, we are having our annual Tenants Christmas Party in our lounge downstairs with a catered turkey dinner. Can't wait. Last year's was such a success.

that is lovely and inspirational. I am blessed to work in long term care, I love having the opportunity to be with elderly folks. God bless you for doing this .
